Why We Love It
Pushing through covers, keeping up with dogs, stepping over logs and covering miles of tote roads – upland hunting is a workout. We're confident that these women’s upland pants will improve your comfort and endurance in the field every day. Their performance fabric is breathable so you stay dry, but so tightly woven thorns and briars can’t penetrate. It is also UV resistant, repels water, and retains its shape. Vulnerable parts like knees, seat, and hems are reinforced for long wear. Pant

Rated 2 out of 5 by BPN18 from Not what I was hoping for I ordered the brush pants for pheasant hunting, and I was really hoping they would do the job. Unfortunately, the cut is kind of strange. (This may explain why the online photo shows just the pants - not being worn by a model.) The pants run large, and they're enormously wide in the thighs. I think the design of the waist would be good if the overall cut was more normal. Also, the design of the nylon facing is odd compared to other brush pants I've owned - the sides of the facing go all the way up to the waist, and the color contrast draws attention to the front crotch area. (My husband said, "It sort of looks like a target.")

Rated 5 out of 5 by threebordersarewee from Love these pants! I am involved in outdoor dog events in rough outdoor conditions. These pants fit well and are a more feminine profile than most of this style...I purchased them over others of this style due to the overall coverage of the protective fabric, right up to the waist, so that holding an active dog at the waist level does not abrade the fabric.... I also like the waist adaptations for heavier undergarments allowance. I usually wear an "off the rack" petite 14 so a recommendation of regular 12 was surprising but I had more than enough wiggle room in the size 12. EVERYONE at my last trial was asking about the pants and I was happy to give them a hearty thumbs up recommendation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CtUplander from Had high hopes I purchased these on 10/2, hunting season started 10/17, today is the 21st. After wearing them only four times in the field the stitching is coming out along the hem and in front at the top of the leg where the briarproof material is sewed on. I am so disappointed. After wearing the men's version for a few years and finding them sturdy and tough, just not the best fitting - I decided to give the women's version a try. They are much more comfortable in fit, I would give them 4 stars for that alone - but they are not going to hold up well. The men's version have held up fine - I wish LL Bean would use stronger thread on the women's. I guess it is back to the ill fitting men's pair. It's too bad, I had high hopes - Why doesn't anyone make quality upland clothing for women?

Rated 5 out of 5 by jlc9245 from These pants do their job These are very nice quality, heavy, durable pant. I wear them bird hunting. I ordered 2 pair to try sizing and I went with the larger of the two (12) because of the comfort of the waist. With middle age came the loss of my waist line and these have a very nice stretchy elastic. The length is slightly long for my 5'5" but I tuck them in my boots anyway, so it works. The legs are extremely roomy for me but I also didn't mind because they wouldn't be too tight if I wanted to add thermals under. I would say they do run large in general. I have not had any problems with briars or getting wet through the fields at this point. Recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CtUplander from update of my 2015 review LL Bean replaced the pair of pants with the frayed stitching, and I found the replacement pair to be the best pair of briar pants I wear. They quickly replaced all the other pants from other big name brands that I have bought over the years. Why? Because they are the only pair that really protects well against briars! No more painfull scratched legs at the end of the day. I am ordering another pair this year so I don't have to wear any of the lesser pants again. My only minor quibble is that they are so long - I am 5'5" so a shorter inseam would make them slightly more comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CJWUplandHunter from Women's Precision-Fit Upland Briar Pants I ordered a size 16 based on the measurements in the size guide. The pants were a little large and were returned. I ordered a size 14 and with the expandable waist, they were a perfect fit. I'm 5 foot 4 inches tall and the pants were way too long. I've shortened the length almost 6 inches and still have a 2 inch hem. I've worn the pants hunting and found them to be very comfortable. I haven't tried them in heavy briars, but will be doing another hunt in a couple of weeks that will be the ultimate test as to how briar proof they are. I will definately order them again. They look nice, fit great and the pockets are deep enough to hold items without having to worry about items falling out. I gave them a 4 out of 5 stars due to the excess length of the pants leg and I had to alter. Wish women's pants could be ordered by size and inseam length!

Rated 5 out of 5 by huntingbritts from Fabulous product So many products are so thin through the thighs and waist that I can't get them to fit properly. Not all females are stick thin, model figures. These pants fit GREAT! With the stretch waist, I am able to comfortably put a pair of long underwear under them AND tuck in my shirt and am not having the waist band tear into my stomach. I have had these for several years now, and they have held up great. The length is not an issue. I am 5'7" and they are not too long. On top of this, I tuck them into my boots so there is even less to worry about with them. I have gone through briars and such and have not had an issue at all. I can easily bend over and squat down without issues. These have been the ONLY pair of women's hunting pants that I have found that actually fit me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sandbar600 from Perfect except for fit These pants are just what I was looking for for heavy brush removal in thorny briers. Thorns that routinely scratched my legs through heavy jeans have no power over these pants! They are attractive. FIt is "old school" with waistband at the belly button, and roomy, both of which I prefer. Pants are stiff at first out of the bag and after washing, but soften up during wear and don't limit movement; elastic waistband a real plus. But "precision fit" is simply misleading. I measured and ordered by the size chart, and got pants that I was simply swimming in. I called and talked to the customer service rep who was able to tell me the actual garment measurements. When I used these to select the size (2 sizes down from my original order), the fit was comfortable. AWESOME customer service, and a great product, but order by your/garment actual measurements, not typical size.
