Rated 1 out of 5 by AdirondackChick from What happened???? I purchased several pairs of the 1912 bootcut jeans a few years ago... my only complaint at the time was that they were too high waisted. They were completely worn out so I thought I’d order a few more pair. WHAT? NO BOOTCUT?? Got to be kidding! Ok I’ll order straight leg (Not happy about it). Get them and they are completely changed. Too much stretch (prefer none) Someone is fibbing about how much extra stuff besides cotton was added to the denim. These jeans were so tight on my legs I looked like a stuffed sausage casing. NOT EVERY WOMAN WANTS STRETCHY DENIM. Therefore these jeans are going back. Such a disappointment!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by PenelopesGranny from A Bit Disappointed Almost every pair of denim jeans comes with added "stretch" now and the fabric is touted as never losing shape. Frankly, I'm looking for the old-fashioned plain cotton denim and just can't find a pair sold anywhere. I don't need 'stretch!' These "1912" jeans have definitely changed over the years but seem to have less of the spandex or whatever it is in the fabric that makes it stretchy. The favorite fit option is good for me and I'd just add, "lose the stupid 'whiskering' business and let the customer's wearing of the product result in it naturally!"

Rated 1 out of 5 by pcsqueen from Why No Non-Distressed Options???? I'm not twenty. Not forty, either. I saw fifty a few years ago, but am in decent shape and try to remain stylish in an age-appropriate manner. I work in an environment which allows jeans. BUT The jeans must be suitable for a casual-yet-professional workplace. If I wore these into the office, with their sanding and distressing, I'd definitely get some stink-eye from the Clothing Police. I fail to understand why Bean can't offer jeans that are well cut (read: not Mom Jeans) yet have a uniform color from ankle to waist. Am I the only person in the world who wants this jeans WITHOUT an "authentic broken-in character"??

Rated 1 out of 5 by hiker77 from Straight Leg requires skinny thighs I have a couple pairs of 1912 jeans from a few years ago and they still fit great but are wearing out. I ordered the straight leg again in my same size and they are so tight in the thighs I can barely get them on. The hips and waist are fine so I can't go up a size just for the thighs to fit. Also these are not Favorite Fit. All my Favorite Fit pants fall at or below my belly button. These pants are well above. If you are going to completely redesign the fit, then change the name too. I had the same problem with a pair of jean shorts I ordered. My old pairs fit great but the new pair has skinnier thighs. If I order Straight Leg, I expect straight not tapered skinny thighs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by OutdoorsyLover from Ugly Stripes Across Midsection All these jeans in blues have stripes that start just below the waist, extend through the hips to the tops of the thighs. The lines of light and dark are permanent, will never wash out and have received loads of negative reviews, even though most recently, llbean is not showing any critiques. I wonder why.....? The other question is why the stripes even exist. It's clear they're intended. But what woman wants horizontal lines emphasizing the width of her waist and hips? No one I know. I like the favorite fit, hate the stripes, wasted money on these. Please, llbean, fix this so I can make these favorites again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BellevuePAFamily from What happened??? When the 1912 Jeans first came out (Favorite Fit), I bought a pair and have LOVED them. They were stylish, comfortable, and loose in the thigh but not baggy. I do not like myself in boot cut and at the time, every other brand of jeans was boot cut. My jeans just wore out, literally the fabric ripped at the knees. No problem, I thought, and ordered a replacement pair. Although I ordered the 1912 Favorite Fit, just like my first pair, these are awful on me. The thighs are super tight. Yuck. I am 5'6" and 135 so pants in size 8 usually look and feel good. What am I going to do now? I am super disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Renee1953 from Bring Back the Old If it ain't broke, don't fix it. What happened to 100% cotton jeans? I bought the 1912 jeans because they came in "favorite" fit. They are thinner than my old 100% cotton LL Bean jeans that were also favorite fit which I ordered over 5 years ago. The 1912 fabric looks weird - not like real denim. The "wear" stripes (for lack of a better term) around the thighs and waist make me look like a blue racoon. Get rid of the stretch material - some of us don't have the Twiggy figure to have material stretched thin over our bodies, but we still want a "favorite" fit, as opposed to "original" or "classic" fit that are so darn uncomfortable, especially for short-waisted women like myself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by active50 from Terrible fit and cut..worst jeans ever! I do not normally take the time to write a review even if I am not quite happy but this product is so bad and so unlike LLBean I had to. They looked nice in the store. Upon wearing they became bags in no time and looked awful. Once washed, ok for an hour or two. Not sure what happened with the cut but they are asymmetrical! They are off center! When I do have to wear I spend most of my time adjusting them... unsuccessfully. I would have returned but needed them for a trip so washed a second time. The material is thin (which may be why the cut is so bad). L.L. Bean, you can do better than this.
