Rated 1 out of 5 by NJanice from disappointed Ordered these at a good sale price expecting the " thick foam-padded insole molds to your foot shape and EVA-foam midsole adds even more cushioning for your comfort." Was sadly disappointed as I feel nothing but lumpy "fleece lining" that has worn down to nothing in barely 3 weeks of wear. Certainly not as represented. Also ordered a 9 as I had read to order up for half sizes. The slippers are very loose and do not feel secure on my feet. Glad I didn't order these for my mom as she truly needs the support and comfort that these slippers do NOT deliver. Had I paid full price......they'd be on their way back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2Meezers from So Disappointed! I bought these slippers in the late fall and put them away as the weather was still very mild. Took them out at the holidays to warm up my then chilly feet. Warmth is there (cozy) but there are real issues in fit and construction. I ordered my normal size (8) and it was fine - for about the first 6 wearings. As the fleece lining compresses they get bigger and bigger. I can no longer keep them on my feet, even with socks. Also, the top band has a seam placed right over the instep that presses uncomfortably into the top of my foot. Elastic inserts at back are useless in improving fit. Was no use testing done on this model? Not quality I expect from Bean!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by RollingWithIt from Not the quality I expect from LLBean I have really come to expect great quality from LLBean. These are definitely not it. The backs of these slippers are so high they rub the knuckle on my ankle and are even higher in the very back. You can see right out of the box where there is padding inside and where they did not put padding as there is a very distinct lump that you can feel with your foot. and for that matter I expected a little padding under the foot but there is none except in that small ares I mentioned (maybe it is supposed to be arch support?) I am definitely not pleased with this purchase and they will be going back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GailVA from slippers review This is my third pair of LLBean women's ballet slippers. With the past pairs like these I found the leather shoe lace wouldn't stay tied in a bow so I would just cut off the laces. I was happy to see the change in that part of the slipper, however the lace on the top of this slipper doesn't stay tied either because the lace is too thick so I just pulled it out. I could put in a ribbon and may do it yet. The style was changed a little and they slip off some when new but once my foot print in made inside the slipper I think they will be fine. One of the things I really like is I can easily throw them in the washer and dryer and they clean up nice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by suzilou from Not much padding ~ flat at arch When I first tried these on, I immediately noticed how flat they are. No support at arch at all or comfortable padding under lining. I didn't know if I would keep them. I liked the look, and feel of lining's 'fur'. The sole is VERY flat too. My home is colder; I wear a thick cotton sock with them most times so they feel okay. I was disappointed in the design ~ lacking any support/padding/sole. Seems like this is a cheap version of what LLBEAN is famous for ~ quality. As other reviewers commented ~ the bow does come undone ~ constantly. Sewed a stitch or two to prevent this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TNgirl00 from Not the same I am a big fan of the old style Hearthside slippers, but this new version is not as comfortable. I purchased these about a year ago and have worn them a lot. The sizing (length) is fine for me - I typically wear a 9.5 and ordered these in a 10. My issue is that the top edge of the shoe digs into the top of my foot slightly. It’s not bad if I just slip them on for a minute to step outside or something, but if I have them on for any length of time, they become uncomfortable. I won’t get this style again. I just ordered a different style and will see how it is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 2Meezers from Foot Loose - not fancy free I have bought Bean clothing for many, many years and been extremely happy. I can't say the same about these slippers. I bought the size 8 that I typically wear. By the 4th or 5th wearing the fleece had compressed so much that I "walked out" of them to the point of nearly falling down my basement stairs. Not something a 70 year old takes lightly. And if that wasn't enough, there is a seam in the top band that hits uncomfortably right on the top of my instep. So I have a $40 dust collector in my closet. Will never buy Bean footwear again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Blessing from NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL After a long time i’ve FINALLY found a good use for these slippers. You can peel the lining from the footbed and insert it in one of the original Hearthside slippers whose lining has worn out! This will give you an all most new pair of the good (original) slippers and you won't feel like you wasted your money on the redesigned model! These slippers do not fit like the original, and I finally decided I was at risk trying to wear shoes that fit sloppily, even though they are the same size I usually order. Just as I was throwing them away I thought about trying to remove the insole. Glad I did!
