Rated 5 out of 5 by PetXtraSmall from Nearly Perfect After trying many, many pairs of walking shoes with no success, these are just about perfect. My feet are wide, flat, and short so most shoes don't fit right. I also have a bone spur on the left one and a bunion on the right one, making a comfortable fit difficult to find. The soft mesh material really helps in that regard, and so does the suede which is more flexible than the leather model, helping the shoe to mold to your foot more easily. I haven't walked in them yet but expect they'll "break in" okay. It's a relief to find something that seems to work pretty good after so much searching - years, in fact!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MAINEJORDAN from Great All Day Working Sneaker Look no further than this pair of sneakers if you are working all day on your feet! I work in retail and I'm on my feet all day in a fast paced environment on hard floors. These sneakers are super sturdy, comfortable, stylish and also has good traction. The fit is true to size and the cushioning and support is perfect. This is a midweight sneaker, when you first put them on you can immediately feel the sturdy quality of construction. The suede accents are a nice stylish feature but functional too and there is a handy pull loop on the back to help getting these on and off. I absolutely recommend them for working and standing. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by llbshopper327 from Great Walking Shoe I don't have wide feet, but do have a bunion that develops a painful corn if shoes rub it, so wide is best, and this shoe fits great! No rubbing! I also have very high arches and developed plantar fasciitis which will flare up if I don't put an extra insole and extra arch support insert into the shoe (I wear size 8 in a sandal). The inserts then fit well in the shoe. I've found for my daily 2-1/2 mile walks (for the past month) the shoe's fit and construction to be equal to more costly mainstream brands. The white laces against the navy blue shoe color make them look like boat shoes, but I don't mind. Comfort is key!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LillyoftheWest from Most comfortable This shoe is the most comfortable sneaker like shoe I have ever had. The toe box is roomier than most which is great for when my feet swell a bit. I buy an 11 wide to allow room for socks in winter and the swelling. They have great support in the foot bed with enough cushion to be comfortable to wear with out socks as well. The blue color is a true Navy blue.I live where there is a lot of loose dirt and the shoes are easy to clean off with a shoe brush. I bought my first pair this Spring and liked them so much I bought a second pair when they were on sale to have a back up if needed. I am so glad that LL Bean offers many of their shoes in a wide width.

Rated 1 out of 5 by nojean from Too Good to be True I couldn't believe I could get a fitness walking shoe for the price (was on sale). I should have known better. The test of a good fitness walking shoe is no leg or foot fatigue and no ankle, knee or hip pain. It takes a good week or so before these symptoms appear, and appear they did. Even with a special insole I had foot and leg fatigue and knee and hip discomfort. Fitness walking is the 4 - 5 miles I walk everyday. These shoe are not up to the task.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanFanofGoretex from Tremendous shoes!! I absolutely love these shoes!! I ordered my normal 9 1/2 wide and they are perfect. I would give them a higher rating than 5 stars if possible. I have plenty of toe room and they are actually wide enough. Sometimes I have trouble even with wide width shoes not being wide enough because I wear inserts and have a bunion. No problems with these shoes. And, the cushion and support makes it feel like you're walking on air. There is lots of support for my heel spurs and plantar faciitis. I'm definitely getting another pair. The shoe laces stay tied so no problems there and I actually like the white laces which provide a bit of contrast to the dark blue shoe. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, LLBEAN for offering a selection of wide shoes this year!! It is much appreciated!!! I'm so glad you're listening to requests!

Rated 5 out of 5 by wickedlady from Amazingly comfortable!! I bought these shoes to take to England to visit my family. They all have dogs and go on long walks every morning. I knew I needed something comfortable to wear when walking these long miles. I have a bunion on one foot and have a difficult time finding shoes that don’t hurt. From the moment I put these on they felt fantastic! I walked an average of 10 miles daily and never had any issues with pain or discomfort. In fact they felt so good I may just have to purchase a second pair!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Writermama1992 from Not for power walkers. I walk four and a half miles a day in about an hour. The second time I wore these shoes I developed a large, painful blister on my right heel. Six days later I ended up with a cut on the back of my left heel. I'm also developing a callus on my pinky toe, which never happens when wearing other shoes. I have never had a problem with the quality of an L.L. Bean product before. I have been a customer for about 10 years. Everything has always been superior quality, which is why I am so surprised by these shoes. Based on the other reviews, I think these are designed for people who stand on their feet or walk at work a significant portion of their day. But if you are buying these for power walks, I can't recommend these. Go for the New Balance 877 walking shoes. These are phenomenal and last me a year, even with the punishment I give them.
