Rated 2 out of 5 by ShoeCollector from THEY GET WORSE EVERY YEAR I've been buying these LLBean snow sneakers for several years now. The first pair I bought were incredible. Durable, comfortable, and nice looking. They lasted about 3 years and so I purchased another pair even though they had changed the style just a bit. Those ones only lasted about a year and then began to fall apart, and they were not as comfortable as the first pair. Now I see they have re-designed them once again and the reviews are not good so I am very hesitant to purchase another set. WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS?? PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DESIGN AND I WILL PURCHASE THEM TILL THE END OT TIME!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ksmnard from Best shoes for all around wear. These are the only shoes I have worn for the last 15 or so years. First pair were with the Velcro straps, the last two pairs were the slip-ons. I wear these literally all year round, up here in upstate New York. They keep my feet warm even in -5 decree temps. They are also very comfortable all summer long, as they do not let your feet get hot due to the insular quality of the Tek 2.5system. I only take this one pair of shoes on vacation when we travel, because they are great for any activity in any conditions. I'm 67 and these are the best shoes I've ever owned or will ever own.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mdjlmm from Extremely hard show-won't fit I had a similar shoe from LL Bean which was wearing out after many year. I loved the fit; no laces, just slip it on because of the stretch of the shoe material. But they no longer make that particular shoe. This shoe essentially only has two very small pieces of stretch material on top. Otherwise, the shoe has NO give to it. I always wear an 11.5 M, but there is no way I can even come close to getting my foot in this shoe unless I use a large shoe horn and three Minnesota Viking linemen to help. The shoe looks great, but it's apparently not meant to be worn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SpaceTrucker from Love these!! These fit great and perform great. I like the heavy sole and my feet are comfortably snug without being tight. These will need a few days to break in - they're incredibly stiff and a small challenge to get feet in. But once in, my feet are in heaven, snow can't get in, and I bet my podiatrist will say a good choice for me. About sizing - I've had issues before and learned from them. Due to injury and overuse, feet grew from 10+ to 12 wide. My first plain comfort mocs were that, so I got the original insulated comfort mocs but had to upgrade to 13 wide. I wear heavier socks now, so I ordered 14 wide - perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kiplingrocks from Extremely hard to get on I bought these several months ago and, although they were hard to get on, expected them to get more comfortable and easier to get on and off with wear. Once on they are wearable, although I wouldn't call them very comfortable as they are tight around the ankle. I'm wearing them today for the first time "in action" so to speak. First snow of the season. They are still quite difficult to get on. The opening for the shoe is too small. This is the first Bean product that I think is of poor quality only because of this "fit" problem. I'll hang onto them in the hope that, with time, they will be a bit easier to get on and off. However, I wouldn't recommend them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by COrider from unexpected fail The fit on these shoes was virtually perfect, the feel was solid and secure, and I looked forward to using a shoe that I didn't have to tie and re-tie. But on the cuff of the shoe where the elastic joined the leather there was a hard, sharp point that dug painfully into my ankle bone. I wore the shoe for a day hoping they would conform to my foot, but there was no give to the spur and I ended up with a blister where the hard point gouged my ankle. Had to send them back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kitmajor from Perfect Winter Shoe i had some doubt about purchasing after reading the reviews, but this is the type of winter shoe i wanted thus I decided to go ahead and purchase. I am glad I did, I love this shoe and for me it is true to size. Yes it is a snug fit but not overly tight and very comfortable for me. I knew due to its design it would not be a true slip on shoe, but it goes on easily with a shoe horn. It is snug when taking off but the fit keeps snow from getting inside the shoe..It has good cushioning and so far has been waterproof and it is warm, not overly warm but enough to fend off winter cold. I like the chain sole tread which is enough for winter weather, but by not having big sole lugs it doesn't pick up debris when there is no snow. Very happy with my purchase. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by lauraann from Love these Sneakers My 19 year old son is very hard on sneakers. He refuses to wear snow shoes and just wears out the seams, lining and soles due to wearing them in bad weather. In fact, It was not uncommon for him to wear out 3-4 pair a year.!!! In desperation, I ordered him these sneakers to wear for during the winter at University of Utah. I figured they would at least last for the snowy season. My son has worn them every day since he got them 11 months ago. What a shock!!! They still look good and have not worn out! I am reordering him a new pair! What a great product and value.!!! finally, to those who say its tight to get them on. They are indeed made for wearing in the snow. The tight/elastic tops keep the snow out and keep your feet and socks dry
