Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Years ago, L.L. Bean offered curvy fit jeans. They were perfect. Since they were discontinued, I've had a very difficult time finding L.L. Bean jeans that fit. The favorite fit jeans are awful on those of us who no longer have the same shape we did in our 20s and before kids. Even the classic fit, such as these, are no replacement for curvy fit. These fit through the hips and thighs (fitted without being skinny jeans), but require taking them in at the back waistband. Given the variety of styles and fits, you'd think there would be something for those of us with what seamstresses refer to as a "sway back". Nice jeans, but could fit better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, great comfort! These are the best jeans yet! I've ordered many jeans from L.L. Bean over the years and always appreciated how they did not gap at the back and were comfortable whether I was sitting or walking. But these are the most flattering jeans ever! They make my rather straight middle-aged shape look younger because they fit well - not too loosely - in the behind and thighs while still coming up high enough that my midriff is contained. The fabric is of a weight that I can wear them in spring and fall and in the evenings during the summer. At 5'3", the petite size is the right length for me. I'm ordering another pair right away before these jeans disappear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable pants These pants are better than the last comfort pants from a few years ago. However I would recommend that you go down a size as they stretch some after wearing. The legs do not sag and hold their slimming shape. The material is almost as good as a 100% cotton pant. They do not feel as heavy or clingy as the last pants did a few years ago. Pretty good pant. I hope that they make a capri to match, I need some. I usually wear a size 10, however I had to exchange them for an 8. Also the black 10's are as another customer said smaller than the blue jean ones so I can wear the 10 in the black. Remember that if you order the black jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, great quality I have purchased the True Shape Favorite Fit jeans (boot cut and slim leg) in the past and love them. Now that LL Bean offers these jeans in the straight leg as well (although only in the classic fit), I thought I would try them. I wear the boot cut in size 2 regular, and the slim leg in regular 4, all of which fit perfectly. Unfortunately, size 4 in the straight leg is a little too baggy in the seat and thigh, so I returned them. I was really skeptical about the classic fit but actually like it very much, except for the problem areas. I have reordered the jeans in size 2 regular and hope that the smaller size will do the trick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from consistency needed I like the True Shape jeans and have several pairs. Overall they are comfortable and well styled. However, in both fit and fabric quality, they vary over both style and color. In some styles, for example, the classic fit waist is good, but in others it is too big, and the jeans slide down a bit. Similarly, I wear a different size in boot cut vs. straight leg, though the fit style is the same. And the white fabric on the ones I've gotten is of better quality than the blue, and black is the best fabric. Bean needs to manufacture all the jeans in a certain line in the same location so that they are consistent over the whole line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grownup Jeans Now that I'm a grownup (early 30s!), I don't want to have to worry about repeatedly pulling up my lower-rise jeans to prevent my lower back or panties from showing. My husband loves everything LLB, so I thought I would start here in my search for mature jeans. I'm so glad I looked here because I absolutely love these jeans. I chose the classic rise so I didn't have to worry about showing my back or underwear. I ordered a regular size 4 based on my measurements: waist 28 1/2", hips 37", inseam 29-30". The fit is perfect, and because of the classic rise and the fact that they don't stretch out and lose shape throughout the day, I don't need to wear a belt with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Jeans I didn't think I would like jeans that were not 100% cotton (yes, I am a natural fiber purist). These are fabulous! I used to be a big fan of the Double L jeans and wore all different fits for over ten years. I decided to try these this summer. I really like the lower, curved waistband because it does not cut into the body while seated and tucking in a top is easier. I also think the lighter-weight denim makes them more comfortable than the Double L jeans. I now have two pair of these. Neither have shrunk in the wash, using warm wash and cold rinse and a cool, partial dry. Am considering buying the slim leg version next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit I have not been able to wear jeans in years, but lost a significant amount of weight in the last year and hurray! These jeans fit! I am 66 years young, 5'3" and weigh 163 pounds (still working on it!). I first bought two pair in a regular and they were way too long. Sent them back. Replaced with the size 16 petite and perfection! It's as if they were custom made for me. I washed them as soon as I got them, partially dryed in dryer and hung to finish. Put them back on and they did not shrink. Could not be happier! PS: if I had gone by the size guide, I would have bought a size 20! NOT!
