Rated 5 out of 5 by anchortaxi from Nice clothing I've been a customer of LL Bean since the mid 60's and I must say I really like their clothing, however, they are really getting a little too pricey for my retired pocketbook. The fact that 99.9% of their clothing is now manufactured overseas where their production costs are greatly reduced, would seem to dictate lower prices to the consumer, but nope, their prices increase every year, so, I do with a lot less of LL Bean clothing and buy elsewhere. There was a time when I bought a lot of clothing, boots, blankets, and stuff, but they are now out of my reach, as well as a good deal of the rest of the American population...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fishhead2k from Color not the same as photo. It's a good shirt. The photo, however, does not accurately represent the actual color of the shirt. I ordered Sandstone, which I fully expected to be more or less a khaki color. This is what the photo shows. The shirt is much more olive green than the photo. If I were to name it after a rock, I would probably call it limestone. I verified that the name on both shirts (I bought two) said the color name I purchased, and they do. I'm keeping these because it's still a nice shirt, but now I'm in the market for the color I expected. LLBean should take a new photo. For anyone thinking of a monitor issue, my monitor is calibrated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Patchez from Color Fades I have purchased this kind of shirt many times for my husband as he is be very picky and always goes back to "tried-and-true" shirts. This time however, the shirt (blue in color) has white -faded streaks or lines throughout the shirt only after a few times of use (4-5). I am very disappointed since the color does not hold at all and the shirt can't be used anymore. Sadly I will not be able to buy this shirt again until I am assured the problem has been resolved. I cannot recommend this shirt to anyone. Now, I have the task to find another kind of shirt that he likes! :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by Climbingtom from Great shirts - watch colors I love my Canvas shirts. I've been buying them for years and have many of the colors. I've been disappointed to see some of the colors discontinued when it comes time to replace them but the replacements have generally been worthy. I've also waited and had some show back up again. But, there have been times when I ordered online based on the color I see on the screen only to have it look much different in person. For example, Coral Dust looks red to me on the screen but when it arrived it was not red but more like orange or maybe salmon. Nothing against orange but I already have an orange canvas shirt, although not quite the same orange.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Barristaville from Change in fabric quality The last three Sunwashed Canvass Shirts purchased are made using a different fabric than the shirts of the previous six years. It seems like the fabric is slightly thinner, smoother finish, and lacks the "stiff" characteristics of the earlier ones. The cut is the same. When you iron the new canvass fabric,it requires slightly more work to achieve the same level of crispness and yet it doesn't exhibit that unique look of the previous versions...it's closer to a standard oxford cloth. It's still a decent shirt but clearly is a decline from the earlier versions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by finnraft from Smart shirt, good pockets. I'm a raft guide in New Zealand and purchased four of these shirts to wear while summer rafting. The 5.3 ounce cotton is slightly thicker than I prefer for hot weather, but they are very well made, with accurate sizing. The two pockets are excellent and a useful size. The collar doesn't bunch up when washed. The cotton breathes well, and doesn't stain like the blended fabrics. They are comfortable when first worn, and after washing need a good iron, but get much softer and need less ironing as they age. A smart, comfortable, tough shirt, in nice colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ROSEGUY from THE MATERIAL HAS CHANGED I have worn these shirts for many years and have loved every color. My last two purchases , however, have been of a lower quality, lighter weight material. I have been disappointed and wish that you would have retained the original material and raised the price if necessary--but at least give us a choice. The original material kept its body--it was a standout. This one does not maintain its body and is much like all the other shirts sold everywhere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mike1252 from Great except for one thing I have been buying these shirts for years and would give them a five star rating except for one thing. On every shirt that I own, little holes in the shirt develop over time at the location where the shirt pocket flap corner is sewn on and always on the side close to the buttons to close the shirt. I expect a shirt to wear out eventually, but these little holes at the shirt pocket flap cause the shirt to wear out prematurely and before the rest of the shirt. I wish you offered a model without the flap.
