Stretch Bayside Corduroys, Plain Front Comfort Waist is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 313.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go-to winter pants For years I've worn corduroy pants every day all winter, specifically these ones from LLB which I love. Warm and comfortable. As for sizing, I'm 5'4" and sometimes wear petite clothes, but in pants I wear size 8 regular (misses) for the longer rise, and also to allow for possible shrinkage in the length. I washed and dried these pants - no significant shrinkage (maybe a half-inch in length) - and shortened the inseam one inch. I might prefer the Classic Fit which is described as slightly fitted through hip and thigh, but to be safe I ordered Original Fit for the higher waist. I love the Comfort Waist, having acquired a couple extra inches at the waistline over the years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in LL Bean These are my favorite pants. However, LL Bean has limited the selection of styles. Now there is only plain front comfort waist. And on Black Friday weekend and there are no choice of colors or sizes. This is just disappointing. I buy all me clothes from LL bean because I think I can rely on them to be consistent in style and sizes. Over the last several years, they have become unreliable. It is getting to a point that I will have to be looking for some place else to shop. I'm very disappointed in LL Bean. I bought the only color available in my size - I'm sure the one pair of pants that I bought will be fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Bad LL Bean Messed With Perfect I love cords for casual work days. I lost 80 pounds so my old Bayside cords were way too big. I loved the former design - pleated front, original fit. Excellent slacks. Unfortunately, LL Bean changed the design. They added "comfort" elastic on the sides, and the rise is short. I am 5'6" tall with a long length from waist to inseam. I ended up purchasing the Tall so that my rise would be appropriate. Obviously the length of the slack's leg was too long and had to be taken up. It always makes me sad when LL Bean messes with a winner. If a design worked in 1938 or 2005, it needs to be left alone

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stretch Bayside Corduroys not quite right I really wanted to fall in love with these pants, but I can only say that I only somewhat like them. While the material feels good, the waist is cut way too tight. That being said, the back on the waist area seems to be very much off - makes me look like I have "droopy drawers" in the back which is something that I would not expect from LL Bean. (I should state that I have a small waist and am hippy, so for me to say the waist is small seems strange). I can only give two stars due to the odd way they fit. I would send them back, but since they were on sale it isn't worth the price to ship them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, great pants!! I received these 'dusty olive' cords yesterday, and finally put them on this afternoon. WOW! They fit me perfectly except they're about 1 inch too long. I'll wash them first to see what happens. They are probably one of the very best fitting pants I've ever had. Perfect and flattering in every detail. Thanks to LLBean for making pants that fit at the WAIST instead of below the waist or 'hipsters'. That may be great for 25 year-olds, but it's not the same for the 70+ set! Thank you, LL Bean for producing a great set of pants! Lorie, Seattle, WA Size 12 - Height, 5'7" Weight 154 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now THIS is what I call a perfect fit! I have a pair of these that I've had for at least 10 years. Still as good as new, rugged, warm, presentable--and THANK YOU, they have DEEP POCKETS, not mouse-pockets. These are the only pants I own with actual serviceable pockets. It's nearly impossible to find good pockets in most retail-store women's pants and slacks. At this point in history, that's a problem. The waist is a little tight, but I have put on some weight since buying these. I swore I'd never buy elastic waistband pants, but they don't look like old-lady pants after all. Thank you for making petite sizes, too. It's great not to have to cuff or hem or get someone to tailor clothing for my tiny arms and legs!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changes NOT Good I have worn Bayside Chinos and Cords for 20 years - original fit/plain front/plain waist - and LOVE the comfortable yet neat, trim look. Now the cords only come in comfort waist which I do not like - that's a slippery slope which facilitates the fattening of America! However I ordered a pair since my other cords are worn out and comfort waist was my only choice. SO sad to find the they are not even tapered leg any more - even though the Original Fit description in the catalogue says they are. Bottom line - I am not a big person and the entire effect is baggy. Not sure what I'm going to do for winter cords at this point. Why retailers have to constantly tamper with something that is already great is a mystery to me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost for me I got the 12 petite and they fit fine. I like the thicker corduroy which would be warm and the petite was exactly right for me. I am five ft three and around 140... a pear shape. But, the comfort waist was most uncomfortable! It was tight on my back where I have scoliosis... and after a while it was not something that I wanted to wear. I am not thrilled with the grayed out blue.. I prefer a deep rich navy blue. Hope it will come back and also some of the Bayside cords with the plain waist! The overall construction and quality of the pants is high.
