Rated 2 out of 5 by greenteach from Be Careful This boot fits on the foot just fine, but the problem is getting it on your foot if you have a high instep. I ordered a half size larger and still spent 5 minutes trying to get my foot all the way into the shoe. They've made it more "stylish" I guess. I also don't have a skinny ankle and could barely get the thing zipped up. This is with a very thin trouser sock as well. I'll keep it a few more days and hope that my constant thrusting and tugging may stretch it out enough that I can get into it. It looks nice once on, and my foot feels comfortable when walking. If you have thick ankles and a high instep, you may want to look elsewhere for a different boot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jmb02129 from Only problem-NOT TRUELY WATERPROOF I am a total bean lover. I drive a LLBean Subaru, 90% of my wardrobe comes from bean, my dogs are outfitted with bean beds, bowls ,collars, leashes, toys. My home is full of bean products-I love all things bean, but I am very disappointed with this product. The boots are comfortable, very attractive but are not waterproof. I stood in my tub with water up to the zipper / gortex sections and my feet got wet. VERY SAD. I have been searching for an comfortable, attractive, all season, slip on, waterproof boot. These ain't them! Even worse-Bean has retired the Lounger bean boot! Dear Bean, please really make the storm chaser waterproof or bring back the Lounger! Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cinders from Waterproof? Ordered boot in my usual size 6 and the boot was too short. Exchanged for a 6.5 and fit perfect. Purchased for easy pull on and off for walking the dog in the wet rainy weather. The front of the shaft rubbed against my shin which was uncomfortable, but I thought it would work out after I wore them a while. After just one week of solid rain every day....I noticed the footbeds of both boots were wet inside the footbed around the outer edges of the foot liner. So disappointed as L.L.Bean is the "go to" reputable brand for 100% waterproof boots. I am going to try the Chelsea now and hope it works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PASunlover from Sturdy, but not warm. If you are looking for a boot that will keep your feet warm in the snow, this is not the boot for you. Even being outside in mid-20's shoveling snow for 15-20 minutes leaves my feet really cold. If, however, you are looking for something comfortable to keep your feet dry during rain and such storms, these are really nice and very well-made. I wish they would offer half sizes, though, because I bought the 9 while being a 9 1/2, feeling that the 10 would just be too big. These just fit me, but had I bought the next size up I could probably be wearing thicker socks to keep my feet warmer on snowy days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by eggodess from great little boot I read the reviews for sizing, and they were recommending half size up. Spot on. Am usually 8.5, got a 9. Great fit, a tad roomy, just as a boot this style should be. Still requires a hand on boot to slip on. Comfortable the first day wearing. No rubbing. Feet were toasty warm with mid weight socks. Pretty good support, would be great for avg person, but I am fussy due to plantar faciitis history, so I slipped in a 3/4 insert for arch support. Still have wiggle room for toes and thicker socks! Bought primarily to do barn chores, as last winter here in WI was brutally cold and snowy with this winter predicted same :( Going to be better prepared with these babies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by curlycat from Love these boots! I wanted a zipper boot that I could walk in winter conditions. I read that they are now lighter weight and I felt they were, and I loved the fit! I am normally a 9 and these feel perfect, allowing for a winter sock. Nice stretch as I pulled them on, and my right foot has a high arch so I was concerned about pull-on. I don't know if they'll be awesome in slush and snow but I think they seem well made. I read other comments that people disliked that they weren't calf high....yes they are ankle boots and I love them, because they feel like jogging shoes, with a comfy instep.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kennelgirl from Good, but not good enough I've bought the Storm chaser footwear for a while now and switched from the low shoe to the zip boot for warmth and to keep my ankles dry. I love how comfortable these are, but they do not keep my feet warm and they just do not stand up. I wear them 8 hrs/day, 5 days/wk in an animal shelter and these shoes only last about 9 months before they start to leak. When walking in snow, my feet were always cold. I will not be replacing them this time. If you are planning to wear them casually and in temperatures above -5 (not walking in snow), they may work for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Heidismom from Nice Boots I bought these last month and finally got to use them in the snow storm today. These are well made. Easy to get on with the zipper on the side. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe but purchased the 9 and the size is good - I even had a medium weight hiking sock on. Not too snug and not too big. I purchased these for an easier on-and-off boot for hiking in the woods and snow removal, instead of my very tall lace up LL Bean boots. They are not as tall. Today's snowfall was about 10 inches and I wouldn't use them for hiking in any deeper snow than that. I will use my taller lace ups for deeper snow. But these fit the bill.
