Rolling Adventure Duffle, Medium is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 637.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Want to love it but... Everything about this duffle is fantastic but for one little thing. It does not, will not, can not stand up on its own. I knew this (having read all the other reviews) and bought it anyway to replace an aging roll-aboard suitcase. I didn't think it would matter if it couldn't stay standing up but I was so very, very, wrong. It does matter. A LOT. It might seem silly but when you're waiting in a line, you must plan on holding it up the entire time or must pick it up to move it because it cannot sit on its end the way a regular suitcase can. Extremely annoying. Major plus though - even when stuffed to capacity, it still fits in overhead bin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to Make a Cheaper Less Durable Duffle I believe we have five of these Large duffles. The most recent one was purchased in September 2012 and used once on a two week trip, before the plastic frame supporting the handle side of the bag shattered when dropped gently upon the hotel carpet. It turns out that the sides of these newer bags are reinfroced with very cheap corrugated plastic which, once fragmented, cannot be repaired, leaving a large hole under the handle, allowing ready access to whatever has been packed. While I am returning this bag to the Freeport store for replacement, I will never again use it with the same level of confidence and would not recommend it for extended travel abroad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from why the changes????????????? I have one of your medium rolling duffles and it is great. I ordered a new one as a gift and just clicked and ordered it. When it came, it has no end pocket, no real side pocket, not as much room! The previous model was wonderful, the size fit in an overhead and the shape and pockets made it a perfect get-away bag. You could put paperwork and reading material in the side pocket and isolate small things in the end pocket. I desperately hope that you see the error of your ways before my current duffle wears out and you bring back the older design!!!!!!!!! I really don't know what the designers were thinking when they did this!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wanted to love it, but didn't. I've purchased several Adventure Duffles (small, no wheels) so I decided to buy one with wheels and see how it performed. Honestly, I was disappointed. Yes - it has wheels. It lacks balance. I couldn't stand at the hotel counter with it standing upright - so it will only stand vertically on the wheels if you're holding it. When you need to stop for something, it will flop over in whatever direction it wants unless you purposefully lay it down on it's bottom. I wasn't a fan of that. I got it on a good sale & with coupons so I might keep it, but I would NOT spend $119 on it or suggest others do so, either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy This bag is absolutely terrible. It constantly flips over throughout walking with it. I had to stop to flip the bag back over at least 8 times prior to security! Unless you are 3 feet tall or your arms are 10 feet long, and are very level to the ground, do not buy this bag. I was hoping this product would be great because I love this brand, but do not buy this bag unless you want to waste time getting to your gate by stopping people in the middle of the moving sidewalks to flip your bag back over. I truly wish that I didn't rip the tags off this bag so I could spend the money on something of better quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it but hate it. I've had this bag since 2003. This duffle carries EVERYTHING. Packs great, drags great. Love it. But hate that it doesn't have a foot or something to keep it standing upright when you stand it upright (say when checking into an airline or hotel). There's no other position than in your hand or lying down. And once you've threaded or clipped two other things to it, it's not easy to change direction. A reinforcing bar in the tail, or something of that nature would totally fix it.But as it is, it's the bag I hate to love to take. I wish there was a "maybe" option under "would you recommend..."

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Negative Review This is the first negative review I have submitted on an LL Bean product. Always been very pleased but not with this item. I recently had to make my way through Chicago's O"Hare airport and this thing wobbled, would not stand up, and was a nightmare. It is hard to pack as the zipper runs down the middle and there is one very small side pocket that did not even hold an 8 inch E-Reader. Barely held my charging cord for phone. Wheels too close together and narrow. If you are going camping I think it would be fine but it definitely is not made for commercial (airline) travel. Not very sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for value & use Bought two, green (lovely) and Navy for my husband. Green was easy to spot in a pile of bags in an African airport. Three weeks in Africa. Luckily we had free laundry service. Soft sided bags are best/sometimes required for stowaway on bush planes. These were great, held everything we needed including heavy trail shoes. Zipper and additional strapping are strong and secure. Since there are only two wheels and the bags are top heavy when upright they may tip over. But they worked well walking through airports. These and a smaller carry on were all we needed. Stored overhead on Emerates Air. We attached our locks through zipper and to the bracket for attaching the shoulder strap.
