Rated 3 out of 5 by karmarex from Boot cut perfect pants have changed:( I use to love the perfect fit boot cut pant when they first came out. They were fitted with a slight flare at the bottom. When those wore out I reordered. The ones I received were of inferior material and weight. They also were more shapeless...straight leg and wider rather than a slight flare at the bottom. I am disappointed in the quality of LL Bean clothes in the last 5 years. The material is getting thinner, the sizing is inconsistent. Even in the same style two pairs will fit differently. The seams don't feel right. They just are not the pants they use to be and I am sad. They have been the mainstay of my working wardrobe and now I have to look elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PinkLipstick from Perfect! Please don't stop making these wonderful pants. The fit (not baggy, not tight) and the bootcut legs are very flattering for my 63 year-old, short, pear-shaped body. The rise is perfect, right at the waist. Definitely not frumpy. The pants last a long time too. I'm 5'3", and used to buy the Petite Length. Because the length can shrink just a little over time, I now buy the regular length. They aren't really too long with my cross-training shoes. I wouldn't add pockets unless they can be made to lie very flat, and not add bulk to the sides of the hips. Thank you for continuing to sell these pants for those of us who can't wear those form-fitting, low-rise yoga pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by vitanova from dream pant for life I have problems finding pants that fit me. I am barely 5'00, overall small. These pants are a dream! Good quality and comfort. I just bought my 4rd pair: they stay put at the waist, give you a nice shape, don't wrinkle, etc. Great for travel, a yoga class, a walk, office work, or for a night out. I dress them up with a sparkling top, belts, waist scarves, etc. They can easily pass for dressy pants. I wash them in the gentle cycle and then just hang them. They stay beautiful and in shape. I wish LLBean would also make them with a bit of shine by adding more lycra to the knit. Also in more colors. They would be great for a night out to dance, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ceceske from Well Made, Great Fit These are great pants, well made, with a super fit. I am 5' 3 1/2" and I go with the regular length. I'd say unless you are very, very petite, size up to the regular. They wash up beautifully. The only downside is that recently when I came home from work one of my dogs was so glad to see me that he jumped all over me and his needle-like nails went right into the pant legs and put two holes in my pants! So I am back to get a replacement. After 20 washings compare these to anything similar you can find out there in a store and you will see the difference. These will still look great while the others will look ragged. Great product, pricey yet great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LLBeanMyPurchases from Sadly They Don't Hold Color I have quite a few pairs of these pants in several colors. They are comfortable and flattering and look great - But only for the first few washings, then, the strength of the color fades. I am incredibly careful during the laundering process. I turn inside out, use Dark Woolite and only gentle washing. I barely dry, then hang them up. No matter what I do, they still look washed out enough to mean only good for around the house. The black doesn't stay a nice black. The dark blue doesn't stay dark blue. I have other knit pants that don't lose color. I love how these feel & fit, but they are not worth it, sadly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WalkerGirl from In Love Again! I've worn these pants about since Bean started offering them so you can imagine my disappointment about six months ago when the new pairs I ordered were of a flimsy material that sagged a bit with wear. I kept one pair and returned the other with a comment about the fabric change. Because I could not find a better alternative in others stores, I decided to try Bean's Perfect Fit Bootcut pants again and bought them once there was a discount. Boy, am I glad I did! I think the fabric is better then ever: slightly thicker with a firm stretch that gives gentle support without revealing unsightly lines or bulges. Thank you Bean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by cust1112 from khaki color not pretty Giving it a 5* because I LOVE LOVE these perfect fit pants. I am 5'4" 110lb and wear a small med tall. I have been wearing these for many years in black and brown. Practically live in them at home. They are so comfortable but dont look like a knit pant. Very nice dressier fabric. I was so pleased they finally branched out the colors. I was looking for a beige. I ordered these in my usual brown and tried the khaki. The brown are a beautiful rich brown but the khaki are a funny color. They have kind of a gold cast to them. I was hoping for a more neutral stone or at least a tan but these are an unusual and unattractive (to me) color. I am returning them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MomWNL from Flimsy material. Cheap. Yes, it fit well, etc., but the material was flimsy, lightweight, almost like tights material. If I had been in the store and felt the material first, I wouldn't even have tried them on. They are advertised as boot cut, and they did accommodate my calf high, tie up boots, but the material is so light weight there is no way I could wear these except in the middle of summer. However, I wouldn't wear these in the middle of summer, either, because the material was embarrassingly flimsy. They did not cling, but they still managed to highlight every dimple on my 5'3", 165lb body's thighs. Ugh. Returned today.
