Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality but inflexible Haven't bought much from Bean since we moved to the PNW. I've had bad luck with waterproof shoes here so I thought I would give Bean a try. I chose this style because the reviews indicated sizing runs bigger. It does. The fit is similar to those wide Sketchers out there. I was happy with the length but my heal slips. (Sigh). The other issue is there seems to be a lump right at the ball of the foot. That and the sole is pretty stiff. At first I thought I would send them back. Materials and workmanship are good. I wore them in the rain to walk the dog a couple times. I decided to keep them and see if they break in. They are basically what I wanted - just that they don't feel quite right yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good shoe I am a truck driver and I am really rough on shoes. I decided to give these a try and I wanted to wait a couple months to review them because usually by now the shoes are beginning to fall apart. This isn't the case for this pair of shoes. Much to my delight and surprise the shoes show no and I mean no signs of wear and damage and in two months they have been put through a lot. So far this is one of the best shoes that I have ever bought for my work. I can' tell you how nice it is the be able to slip these on and off with no laces. They were a little loose but still comfortable sort of fit like crocs but a full shoes. So far perfect for what I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Been using this shoe for years This is about the fourth pair of these boots I have owned. I wear them all day, every work day. Waterproof, great slip resistance, easy off and back on. I use an elongated shoe-horn as, being a building inspector, I go into about seven occupied homes every day, The other stops include all other stages of residential construction. Oh yeah, and the soil is all clay. A little rain = a lot of mud. Slap the two boots together at the end of the day, and it's 95% gone. That's because some stays stuck in the tread. But without tread, I'd be sliding all over the place. It would be nice if they came in a wide.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I was looking for I tried real hard to like these boots but after a couple of days I had to send them back. I am a true size 12 off of the rack but these boots were too short and too narrow. To make things worse, I would be concerned about their quality control because I could look down and almost see the left shoe and see the toe turned to the left (see photo). I have seen this in cheap tennis shoes before and really surprised to see this in an LL Bean product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from why?? You have offered these shoes for years now. They look great. They serve a great purpose and function. Why, oh why, don't you make them in a wide shoe. Almost all of the rest of your footwear comes in wide. How bout a change?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love Storm Chasers! This is my third pair of Storm Chasers. The second pair finally, well almost, gave up! I ordered the new ones and was disappointed to find the Toe Box is narrower than the 2 previous pairs. I measured them. Yup 1/2" narrower. So I sent them back. But I love these storm chasers. After I returned these I glued my old ones, again, and added a wood screw to hold the outsole to the upper. And yes pray painted them black. Storm Chasers are my go-to boots for yard work, mud, rain, slippery boat ramps, canoeing, kayaking, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wet weather shoe I bought this shoe to use on cold/wet mornings and evenings to take our dogs out for walks and play time. Because it was a slip on shoe, I went down a half size from my regular shoe size. I didn't need to do that. It really seems true to size. It is easy to slip off and on, it is comfortable for short walks and it keeps my feet warm and dry which is exactly what I wanted. I am very satisfied with this shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only One Thing Wrong The older, original version of this shoe had a different material around the top that was very comfortable. The next time I bought the Storm Chasers for my husband, that material was different, slipping on his foot and eating his socks. Make no mistake, these are the best shoes of this type available, but I won't buy again because of this one thing. He keeps wearing his Storm Chasers from 20 years ago, cracks in the rubber and all. Theyare workhorses and he would love a new pair but whatever they are using on the part around your heel and foot top needs to be changed back to leather. I bought the women's version for myself in the 1990s and still wear them for their support and comfort during weather extremes.
