Rated 5 out of 5 by vwguy from Classic Camp Moc with the wedge sole I'm glad to see Bean has a Camp Moc with wedge sole again. The leather is butter soft and a nice comfy insole which makes these feel like old favorites right out of the box. These are well worth the extra $15 over the regular Camp Mocs that have cardboard stiff leather and the siped sole which always cracks letting water in soaking the insole. They run small and narrow, if you are between sizes, definitely go w/ the larger size. I wear a 9.5 or 10, I got the 10 and probably would have been OK with a 10.5 as well. I do wish they were offered in the classic dark brown/red pebble grain leather, maybe next year?

Rated 5 out of 5 by LTLLBUser from High Quality Moc I purchased these mocs to replace a pair of old L.L. Bean mocs that finally wore out. I decided to go with the higher quality, and more expensive, mocs and I am very pleased with the result. The workmanship on the mocs is superb and the stitching is flawless. As to comfort, they were a bit snug at first, but as the enclosed card indicated, they quickly stretched in the right places to conform to my feet. I wear the mocs with or without socks and they are comfortable either way. I highly recommend these mocs to anyone who wants a good looking, high quality and well fitting shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by tommy from Not real camp mocs I have been wearing LL Bean camp mocs for 50 years and my father before me. They were discontinued for many years and I was thrilled to see them back. I wore them camping, hiking and everywhere. They were tough and always comfortable as well as very sturdy. The new camp mocs are for pretend campers. Hipsters in a coffee shop instead of fishermen at a camp fire. The leather is about half as thick in these new ones. (I'm a scientist - I measured.) The bottoms are no longer heavy rubber but are a slick plastic. They are not suitable for kitchen wear, out door or anyplace there is a slick, wet surface. In a few years (depending on wear and other exposure) the soles will become brittle to the point where the crack and flake off. Terrible disappointing product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CampMocMourner2 from Not as good as the handsewns I have had these for a while and bought them to replace some really old handsewn bluchers. These are not nearly as good as my old shoes and the manufacturer uses a different last as the fit is quite different. And I don't like the finish or color of the leather nearly as much as the old shoes. The finish is suede-like and discolors easily. They proved much more difficult to break in. I still wear them occasionally but these shoes are just okay generally.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DonC from Why did you change this classic? Have been wearing these shoes for 20+ years and have no clue why you decided to change them - for the worse in my opinion. These have been my “go to” weekend and boat comfort shoes. You changed pretty much everything about them - now they are just another boat show. I will probably send them back. Please bring back the “real” camp Mocs. I think Leon Leonwood would be very disappointed in you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RGBargy from Nice Ordered the tan color-- a very soft and matte, almost nubuck -like leather. Immediately comfortable. Full lining and welted outsole make a pretty nice mocassin that should hold up well. Light padding on the footbed conforms comfortably. Every stitch is straight, the leather unblemished. I wanted them a shade darker and some tan wax polish did the trick. Darkened them a shade and added a little luster without making them too glossy. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by casey from Exceptional product I am completely befuddled by some of these negative reviews. I bought a pair of these mocs in tan about 6 months ago. I plan to buy myself a pair in black for Christmas. The quality of the materials and the craftsmenship is exceptional. I know a great deal about shoes having been in the business for years. I would expect to pay a lot more for Mocs of this quality. Mine are expertly crafted of fine, unblemished, full grain leather. The only thing I can think of is this: since LL Bean does not manufacture the mocs themselves, maybe one of the factories they contract with to make them is cutting corners and not following LL Bean's specifications resulting in a poor quality product that is not up to LL Bean's standards. Anyway, I am extreamly pleased with mine!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bill1250 from Perfect summer shoe These one eye mocs are extremely well constructed, especially given the price. The leather (in olive) is a nice subdued, not-too-shiny makeup and stretches nicely to mold your foot. They do run a bit large in length (I went 0.5 size down from my sneaker size) but normal to a bit narrow in width. Luckily, they are stretching well in the toe box so this shouldn't be too much of a problem unless you are a EEE width.
