Men's Maine Guide Zip-Front Jac-Shirt with PrimaLoft, Plaid is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmer than expected, great coat! This coat is warmer than I expected. I wore it deer hunting for a week in northern Michigan this past season. The weather was colder than usual and snowing. This coat kept me warm even while sitting still (the L.L. Bean Prima-Loft wool shirt I had on under it helped also). This coat should not be described as "Jac-Shirt", it is much warmer and solid than any shirt. "Wool Jacket" would be a better description. The XL fit perfect and the wool did not make my neck itch at all. It is also very stylish (dark green color). I wore it to a Thanksgiving dinner party a few days later and got compliments on it! I would buy another one in a minute!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not all LL Bean sizes are created equal Over the years I have ordered tons of L.L. Bean clothes. I am a big guy and generally I prefer a looser, longer fit. One of my favourite items is the waffle knit henley, which I've ordered many of over time and always been happy with a 2XL Tall - it fits long and loose. That said I have long since discovered that some L.L. Bean items fit better than others. I thought I'd take a risk on this shirt-jacket as the description says it is cut loose for winter layering. The item arrived today and while everything else is exactly as promised, the fit was terrible. While the sleeves were cut longer the length was not. And, I venture, the overall size of the item was not adjusted at all beyond an XL; on me it fit very tight across the shoulders and upper arms, never mind any hope of doing it up. Truth told I felt like I was trying on a size medium! Sadly, this item is going back -- a shame, as it is otherwise a very nice jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unusual extra feature The fit was fine, the workmanship acceptable, but I was put off by an unpleasant, gasoline-like odor after removing the plastic envelope. Then I remembered I had encountered this distinctive smell once before. A few years ago I bought a pair of leather sofas manufactured in Vietnam, and the same distinctive stench filled my home and wouldn’t dissipate for several days. When I checked the label of this Maine Guide Jac-Shirt, I wasn’t all that surprised to discover it too had been made in Vietnam. I couldn’t help but think of Lt. Col. Kilgore’s words from Apocalypse Now, “I love the smell of napalm in the morning.” Still waiting for the stink to go away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice This Jac-Shirt is very nice and stylish. During the work day I can be in an office for a spell then standing on a jobsite for 45 mins in the wind and cold. This jacket is a very nice go between for these type of situations. Its not to big and bulky but yet warm on a cold day. I will buy another. As long as it fits you correctly it will be pretty hard not to like this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Weekend Long I wear this coat all weekend long when working outside around the house. It fits well and is warmer than expected, but it's not perfect. I gave it five stars because it delivers as advertised. To be perfect and exceed expectations it needs: 1) A larger zipper. When wearing gloves the zipper is too small grasp. 2) Inside breast pockets for sunglasses, check-books, etc. 3) A soft insert on the collar, possibly corduroy. I wear it with L.L.Bean long sleeve T-Shirts and the wool itches the neck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfection Size was right on for me (female - 140 lbs, 5'6"), was toasty warm with light under layer at 30 with wind. The game pouch just right for hat and gloves. Love the quiet and coziness of wool (no noise with lining). Would love another.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What I was looking for The Jacket is exactly what I was looking for. However the fit is a little Trim. Two things would make it perfect, 1 - have an inside pocket, 2 - The cut was a little more generous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cold weather This jacket is warm, very good looking, and comfortable. The large/tall model is a great fit. The "Malone" color is unique. Love it!
