Rated 2 out of 5 by Willingham from The 2017 version is paper thin I have an older version of this in Malone. It is super nice and thick. I just got another one in the black / white plaid. It is considerably thinner. Most of my wool shirts are thicker than this jac. It's a shame. I was really looking forward to the same quality material as my original. I would advise looking for an older used one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SENIOROUTDOORSMAN from Stylish and warm This review is a little different because this product almost fits me perfect. The medium size fits perfect for me , a little tight, but look a my size; a pretty skinny guy. The sleeve length fits more like a motorcycle jacket; too long when arms are lowered next to my body. I have solved the arm length problem by using the tighter wrist button to make the sleeve outlet smaller. So the answer to the size issue is to try and go to an II Bean store and try on several different size jac-shirts. The quality and construction is excellent. The 85% wool did not scratch my neck. I expect this product to last for many years. I have included two photos to show the sleeve length.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from On the fence Seems well made. Very tight across chest and waist compared to Bean chamois shirt. Maybe shouldn't expect a recent start-up like L.L. Bean to have consistent sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LifetimeCustomer from Always get compliments I bought this years ago and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. Great for fall weather. Repels water in light rain or snow. Breathable. Handsome jacket that my son will wear for years after me. One of my all time favorite purchases. Really nice tight knit fabric. Not super heavy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Longtimeshopper from Warm Very warm jacket. Being that it is made of wool, it is itchy. I make sure I have a couple of layers under it, one being long sleeve!! The only thing negative is that the zipper is difficult to start. Maybe because it is new. Hopefully it will get better with age.
