    Men's L.L.Bean Snow Boots is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the removeable liners, needs better treads The boots are comfortable. I have found them warm to a point. If the temps are around 0 degrees, your feet will stay warm if you are continually moving. The treads need to be redesigned as these are WAY TOO flat. A lug pattern would make these boots a much better item. The removeable felt liners are very nice. So far, the leather uppers and rubber bottoms seem to be good. I have noticed that these boots are made in China. I spoke with a Customer Service Rep. at the Freeport store. She mentioned that the only boots made in Maine were the Maine Hunting Boots. That's sad. We (Mainers) should be doing Leon Bean proud by making ALL of the footwear here in Maine, where LL Bean began.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boot Bought for a friend's 15-year old son. They live in Maine and he needed a sturdy and warm boot. He's a size 7 1/2 so I ordered an 8. Unfortunately, he has a wide foot. They went to LL Bean flagship store in Freeport to get another type of boot. He loved this pair so much, that he opted for a size 9 that's a bit big, but more roomy. He had a choice of any other boot but only wanted this one, which says a lot about the style and warmth. LL Bean should have more boot choices in wide sizes. I'm sure they would sell out like hotcakes. Kindly consider expanding to bring customers the choice of a wide boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Boot For My Needs I know this will sound strange, but I purchased these boots specifically for walking my dog. The pet area in our community is never shoveled in the winter and the summer dew is awful in the mornings. I needed a pair of waterproof shoes specifically for this purpose. I have a wide foot and I find that even with thick socks, the boots fit great, so I listed them as "somewhat wide" since I didn't buy boots that were sized as wide. Although these are listed as good through -25F, I think that's only if you're wearing winter socks. My toes have felt a little cold in normal socks when standing in the snow. The boots have laces, but because of the design you don't really need to lace and unlace them all the time. I just slip my feet in and out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boots! I purchased these boots in kelp green for my husband. He has hated previous winter boots I have purchased for him (other brands) and always complained about cold feet after shoveling snow. Problem solved! He not once complained this winter about cold feet and he loves these boots. He wears a 12 or 13 shoe so I ordered a 12 based on other reviews and they fit perfect. After almost four months of daily wear he did break one of the finger loops on the back that helps pull up the boot (his favorite feature of the boot), I called customer service and they shipped him a brand new pair three days from receiving my call. Excellent boots and excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saskatchewan cold.... no prob!! Been a Bean Boot and Maine hunting shoe owner since the 80's ..... still have some originals and have never had any issues. Being from a frigid northern area I have tended to wear Sorels during the winter .... However.... The quality has gone out the window. The leather is very thin now, and the rubber bottoms crack. That's why I decided to by these tumbled leather winter boots. They're lightweight. Super dooper warm and look awesome.... Like the rubber bottom leather tops I grew up wearing in the 70's. I clear my snow on an ATV with a plow blade and after extended periods with my feet rather motionless, I've never had cold feet or toes. The tread pattern is similar to what you find on tires made for ice travel. I've yet to slip or lose traction. As would be expected... these are the high quality you know and love from LLBean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable fit and Warm I bought these boots because I needed insulated boots to do a Rapture ( bird ) study at a Federal bird refuge for 1 1/2 hours at sunset in snow and temps in the 20s or lower for 3 1/2 months. The boots keep my feet very warm. You just spot with scopes and binoculars looking for the birds, so you stand in 1 place for an hour or so. I compared these boots with a pair of Columbia Bugaboo boots rated for 25 below zero. My feet were extremely cold. Returned them. My LL bean boots were great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent, but.... Moving to Rochester NY from Australia mid-winter I agonized over suitable foot ware, and decided on these boots for their low temperature rating. On arrival I was concerned at the tightness of fit and stiffness, however the wool inners relaxed perfectly after a couple of weeks. Subsequently these boots were fantastic, allowing me to walk hours in the snow each day. HOWEVER after two seasons, the sole (especially at the heel) has worn away so rapidly that the internal structure of the boot is visible. This allows water and snow to enter the boot. I approached customer service at the local store about getting them resoled but am informed that this is not possible for this model, however they would gladly replace them for me. While this is indeed lovely and part of LL Beans cache, I feel slightly uncomfortable given how much use they have taken to claim an entirely new pair of boots, but does make up for what otherwise would have been a slightly disappointing experience. So if you are happy to take up Bean on their generous replacement offer, and wish to use these boots hard, they will serve you well for a limited time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot Bought these in November to be prepared this year. I wasn't disappointed. Took a 1/2 mile round trip to mailbox in 27 degree weather with 6" of snow. Then shoveled walk, deck and chicken coop. One and half hours later my toes were as warm and dry as when I started. Found that they fit well, especially since I had a bunionectomy a year ago and some shoes are painful and tight. These have so much padding I don't limp while wearing them.
