Rated 5 out of 5 by LittleJohn from Nice jeans fits true to size. Note that they fit below the waistline, so if you are tall you may need a higher rise, i.e., jeans that fit at the waistline, not below. Third pair for me and they all fit the same. Material is lighter weight than Levi denim, but in a good way--softer and more comfortable. They seem to take wear and tear OK; I wear mine all the time and they are still in good shape, no bagginess. They do great in the wash, but probably should hang dry unless you have a bit of extra leeway in the waist fit. Mine go into the dryer and have not had much shrinkage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Normalsizehands from Nice Jeans, pockets way too small I really liked the lighter weight of these jeans and the fit was great but the pockets were way too small. The depth was fine but they were really narrow and I could barely get my hands in to get my phone. These would be great for someone with really small hands or someone with no use for pockets but for me they were worthless. I returned them. Fix the pockets and they get 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grayhair from Nice Jeans, But... Very nice jeans. I liked the material, liked the color and the fit was spot on, except that the openings at the bottom of the legs was way too large. They measured 18 inches in diameter. I have been buying LL Bean Classic Fit jeans for years and the leg openings consistently measure about 15 inches in diameter. When I contacted Customer Service I was told that my pair was not an anomaly. The leg openings were supposed to be that size. Go figure! I am returning them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PatrickBBN from Very Comfortable & Stylish Another company recently stopped making my favorite jeans so I was forced to find another brand. I decided to give these 1912 jeans a try even though there were just a few reviews. And I have to say I am very satisfied. The material is a bit lighter weight than the regular LL Bean classic jeans and that is a good thing for me, especially in the summer. The fit is great and they are very comfortable. And I also like the styling. Hopefully they will wash well and not shrink. Assuming so I will definitely be ordering another pair. If you are on the fence, give them a try!

Rated 2 out of 5 by AAUSTIN from Great fit, not so great pockets The opening for the pockets are just too high without a big enough opening. I feel like I have to cram my hand into them just to get my phone or keys out while sitting down. You basically have to be standing up to fit your hand in these things. I really didn't think it would be that bad after reading the reviews but it's pretty annoying after a few months of owning a couple pairs. Overall they're made of good material and I have no doubt they'll last a good while.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nickunique from Fashion vs. Function These are not the jeans you're looking for- try the Double L jeans instead. These jeans just feel really cheap. The denim may be of good quality, time will tell, but the fabric is very thin and __definitely__ not a working pant of any type unless your work is limited to a desk and all you need is a good LOOKING pant. Yes, they look nice enough, though nothing fancy. The real problem is the finishing on the edges, particularly the pocket openings. Push your hand in to the pocket once and you won't want to do it again! The edge of the opening feels like sandpaper across the back of the hand. The fabric does not feel like it will withstand any type of work that a tradesman might do in jeans. Maybe I'm wrong and the fabric is like kevlar, time will tell. Either way, they don't give that nice bit of protection for your knees.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AMainerInExile from Tiny Pocket Opening Pants fit as expected as have had many previous 1912 jeans of same size. However, the pockets in these pants barely allow me to insert my hand. I should have returned but got lazy & will put up with the issue for now. Never had issue before with any Bean jeans.
