    Size & Fit
    • For best fit, wear with lightweight socks.
    • Please note: Handsewns need little breaking in, but should be worn two or three times before evaluating fit.
    Why We Love Them
    In 1936 when Leon Leonwood Bean first introduced these shoes, he compared them to the unique comfort of a handmade Indian moccasin. That soft, custom-made feel is still apparent in each shoe sewn today.
    Construction
    • Full-grain leather upper conforms to your foot for a fit that only gets better with time.
    • Traditional rubber sole with channel grooves for traction on wet surfaces.

These older ones are still in good condition and I remain extremely pleased with them, though it was time to buy new ones for special occasions and keep the old ones for weekday use. Based on the quality of the old ones, I decided to purchase Bean's Blucher Mocs again. I am so pleased with the new pair! The quality is as outstanding as before. They are handsome and fit perfectly right out of the box. Thank you for an excellent product, and for your care for your customers. It is always a pleasure to do business with L.L. Bean.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what they used to be Such a disappointment. I've owned the mocs made in the 80's and they were undeniably the best out there. The current version is subpar and would not recommend them to anyone. The quality of the leather and craftsmanship in no where near what it was. The people leaving good reviews on these have obviously never owned a pair of them when they were actually well made. I am baffled by Bean's failure to bring these back to the U.S. and make them what they once were. I guess the mighty $$ talks in this case too.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality; break-in needed; darker than online I ordered the blucher mocs in cactus. I've worn them a handful of times and they seem to be well made. The leather is thick and seems to be good quality, although it's darker than online (looks more like the photos of the oakwood) and shows scuffs easily -- I think it's pull-up leather. Some break-in was needed, but now they're mostly comfortable. They should last a long time. I went with my usual size and width; it works fine but I'd probably go half a size down next time. Thank you, L.L. Bean, for carrying these in wide width!
