Rated 1 out of 5 by sa5150 from Extremely itchy The cotton did not help and there is no way this is merino wool (does not state it anywhere only written on the web-sight here ), My arms and neck both started to itch and get a little red like a allergic reaction . Wool does this to me , Merino wool which is softer usually does not . The upper shoulders are made for linebackers and the wrists are very tight and uncomfortable (and i'm all bones) (not sure who possibly has this type of body ). I'm shocked this is Made IN Canada . I think it's a mistake and it's really China . It's not stated anywhere on who actually makes this . If this is really from Canada they must be using inferior wool .

Rated 3 out of 5 by dopin from Weird neck! Previously purchased a "river driver" shirt & wanted another one. Thought this was the same product & ordered it. Double layer cloth is same in both products. just right warmth for cooler days in & out of the house, etc. However, the neck fit is horrible on this double layer underwear crewneck (TA277213). It's way too big of an opening, coming down slightly on my shoulders resulting in constant chill vs the just right river driver model (TA237757). Also, I agree with another reviewer about the annoyance of the sewn in tag. The river driver does not have a sewn in tag = more comfort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beverlee from A good choice for extra warmth I think I may order a second one of these and actually follow the drying instructions to see if it makes a difference. My son handled the wash and didn't check to see that a low dry heat was recommended and left it in the usual time with the rest of the clothes. I was amazed at how many inches it had shrunk. The sleeves were also shortened but they are okay. He is wearing it under his dress shirts at his place of work, which is always cold in the winter months. A size small is what I bought and it looked too long before we washed it so a little shrinkage would have been okay. Just beware when drying to keep on low heat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kamid from the best investment... I purchased the crew neck underwear for my husband for Christmas. I was swallowing hard when I okayed the purchase, I wanted tall bottoms and tall tops, this is the tall top and it is perfect! My husband is a farmer/rancher and it is COLD in our state (-12 degrees yesterday), but he never complained about his body being cold. He was also a little afraid he would be too hot with his lined work pants, but he was not. He put them on Christmas day to do chores, and has not worn any others (his new long underwear of choice!) since. He LOVES them. He has replaced lined coveralls with these and his lined work pants. Way to go LL Bean!! Great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by llllkkkk from not the same product. I have owned several pairs of the shirt and pants over the years, however they are no longer a Duofold product. The tags are annoying and the fabric that contacts the skin is irritating. The new set has been donated to Goodwill and replaced with a Duofold product. I am still a fan of LL. Bean products, just not this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wbcc from Excellent product I am very happy with this thermal undershirt because it is warm, well-made and very comfortable. As a Canadian I am doubly happy that this product is made in Canada and is offered by LLBean, a company I greatly respect. When I shop, I always prefer products that are made either in Canada or America. Not only is the quality better in my opinion but it also keeps our citizens working. Thank you LLBean for marketing this great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by stogiedog from Awkward Fit The quality seems to be very good, consistent with all Bean products. Although the product fits perfectly, the neck opening is way too big, leaving much of the shoulders and chest exposed. I even laundered it twice, in the hope that it would perhaps shrink the neck opening to a normal size, but with no luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pombe from Warmest I have several of these and I really like them for their warmth. They also are very comfortable underneath flannel shirts. They’re made in Canada and I think they know better than most how to make a garment that should keep you warm.
