Rated 1 out of 5 by GiftRecipient42 from The Not-So-Unshrinkable, Not-So-Tagless Tee I received three of these shirts as a Christmas gift. I put on one shirt out of the package and it fit perfectly. After going through one wash and dry, it shrank considerably (about 1/2" in length and also around the chest area). I can no longer wear it. I also experienced the "puckering" around the collar as another reviewer stated. As for the "tagless" claim, this is false. There is a rather large tag sewn into the side of the shirt. Very annoying. All three shirts are being returned today. Very disappointing that the product didn't live up to the promise...especially considering they're so expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JCSS from Best Ever Men's Tee The deep olive heather is a beautiful color, and goes well with many colors of slacks. The Carefree Unshrinkable Tee is such high quality, and has very nice finishing. My husband wears these year-round, in different sleeve lengths. There is never any shrinkage, misshaping in the laundry process, or fading. He wears them to the gym, for at-home attire, and casual dress attire. After receiving the 1st deep olive heather, I ordered a second one, but had to wait 11 weeks to receive it because it was on backorder. I knew it would be worth the wait. But, remember, if you see something you like and want to order - order it IMMEDIATELY! :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good shirt, but did shrink Husband bought this L/S shirt in heather great and navy. Very good shirt, fits true to size. Seem like quality-stitched shirts, and should last a good amount of time. Only four stars bc it's advertised as "unshrinkable," and the very first time out of the wash, it shrunk. Length was reduced by about an inch. Not a big deal. I had high hopes, but realistic expectations with these cotton shirts. This might not be a problem for some, but now my husband feels they are juuuust a bit shorter than he'd personally prefer. The grey shrunk more than the navy. Sleeves, shoulders, etc all fit better actually. Maybe we should order a "Tall" next time, but something to take into consideration!

Rated 2 out of 5 by DennyO from Why spoil a good thing I bought my second long sleeve Tee (with pocket) a year or two ago, having been very happy with the previous one and all the short=sleeve pocket Tees I'd bought from LL Bean (and still wear). I could not understand why this latest purchase was so uncomfortable until I read reviews talking about the introduction of "wrinkle free" chemicals to the product line. This explained the itchiness I experienced with it. To whom is the absence of an occasional wrinkle so important that they would contaminate an otherwise excellent product? What a shame. I've not ordered another t-shirt since. I'll give it an extra star in deference to those who don't mind a modicum of discomfort as a price for hyper-neatness.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Zabubabobby from GREEN color is NOT ACCURATE Three star review is because the GREEN "color" shirt shown on the website is a much different color from the one that I received. I have ordered several items from LL Bean, most of which have been fairly true to color. However, the green color that I received in this long sleeve T has much more yellow in it - like a leaf green versus a cooler shade like sage green, which is more like the photo. LL Bean calls it DARK ELM, however, there is nothing "dark" about it. I really like LL Bean clothing, but it is annoying to receive something that is so different in color and have to go through the hassle of returning it. No problem with the quality and comfort - first rate!

Rated 3 out of 5 by dcmetroarea from Doesn't breath The colors available are great, the sizing is on point, they are somewhat stain proof, and they look good. Which makes you wonder why I would give this product an AVERAGE rating? Well the material these shirts are made of do not breath. So if you are an active person and by active I mean walk, a fast walk or anything quicker you will sweat and the sweat is not absorbed/wicked away by the shirt. Recommend you don't wear to work, on a date, or outside when being active. Fortunately I paid with credit card when I purchased them online, but I'll be returning all of these shirts (8 each) the next time I drive over to Tyson's Corner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by RGAR from What does "wrinkle-free" really mean? These shirts are excellent quality; what you expect from LLBean. But there is a downside to this "wrinkle-free" hysteria that has become the hallmark of men's clothing. These items DO NOT ABSORB perspiration very well. Cotton is comfortable because it is absorbent. When you treat it with formaldehyde it reduces the cotton's ability to absorb moisture and that makes this 100% cotton shirt very uncomfortable to wear. I want my tee shirts to wrinkle and be able to stain, then I know they will be confortable to wear.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SanDiegoLSShopper from Carefree Long-Sleeve Tee Not I'm always looking for a steady supplier of long-sleeved tee shirts...without much luck. I took a chance and ordered this tee shirt sight unseen. I received it fairly quickly. First thing I noticed was that it's fairly thin...good for layering but not for wearing on its own. It's also very oversized. Online help recommended I go down a size, and they were right. Unfortunately, and the reason I don't recommend this tee shirt, it started to unravel at the waist hem after two washings. It was obviously cut with no margin for sewing error. Whoever sewed the hem missed a few places. At least it was only $20.
