Rated 2 out of 5 by biketrailwalker from Tight, tighter, tightest? I've had an LL Bean swimsuit for several years. Like many of my favorite Bean purchases, that old suit seemed like it would last forever. Thinking I should probably spring for a new suit for our spring break trip, I bought this suit. I usually wear a size 6. When I tried it, I could barely pull it up. Returned it and re-ordered an 8 -- also too tight to breathe. When I ordered the 10, and still felt way too squeezed in, I decided this suit was not for me. The color and style are great. But, I'm not sure why there's little-to-no variation in the sizing. Fading warnings were a concern, too. For the price of this suit, I'd expect more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GranolaStateGal from Beautiful Suit The suit fits very well and a great plus is that it is chlorine-resistant, which many suits are not. I am 68 yrs old, 5'10" tall, 188 pounds, 36D bra and normally wear a size 14/16. After reading other reviews, I decided to get an 18 regular. The length is good, covering my bottom. It has reasonable leg openings (not too high). It is modest at the top and comes up high enough in back so that there is no "back boobs" effect. The adjustable straps help support "the girls" and there is enough of a bra inside to keep them front and center. I am glad I ordered two of them, because I will be swimming almost every day during the long, hot California summers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jennyben from Love bathing suit - hate the sizing Suit fits nicely. Would have liked leg a little higher, but it's generally a nice suit. But I'm 5'6" and a size 8. However, in this bathing suit, I had to order a size 16. These definitely run small even with doing all the measuring as instructed. This seems like a major marketing error for woman! I don't want to wear a size 16 when I'm a size 8 - and just lost weight to get here!. And I don't think most people will note that the bath suit sizes don't correlate with typical clothing sizes. Seems like unnecessary confusion. And a lot of people don't have a tape measure hanging around to measure themselves. Very disappointed with the whole sizing confusion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nicknamesarehard from Intense tummy control I so want to love this suit. It is so hard to find long-torso bathing suits. The short is I have a size 10 that I am keeping. The long story is that I am 5'4", weigh 117lbs and am curvy. My dress size is 4. Jeans 27". So, I ordered a 4 and a 6 in this suit. I could not begin to put either on, they were so small. I returned them and ordered an 8 and a 10. I can squeeze into the 10, but it is not very comfortable. The reason is the intense lining which must be for tummy control? It is like wearing a corset. Aside from that, the suit is well-made and attractive. I have not worn it in the water yet, but am hopeful that it gets more comfortable when I do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nslupine from Great fit! I recently purchased this tank suit, and so far I am very pleased with it. I exchanged it for a "slimming" suit I purchased earlier because I felt the neckline was a bit too plunging for my 59 year old body. This square neck line is a much better fit for me; less revealing, yet still very attractive and not matronly. I think it's much more slimming than the first! The gathered sides help hide flaws and the suit feels like it won't ride up. I went up a size larger than my measurements because I find it more comfortable and still plenty snug. I highly recommend this suit, especially for full-breasted women!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BettyBeaner from Nice suit I choose the suit for the Dark Cider color, a hard to find color that is my "new black". A square neck always looks better on me than the scoop or deep V , so that's another big plus. The color and fit held up just fine after getting wet in the ocean, pool and washing machine. The only feature that I don't love is the weight - it is thicker (that "slimming" fabric) than other, more comfortable suits. This won't be a big deal for wearing on the Maine coast, but it bothered me under the Caribbean sun. I normally wear size 4, but I purchased the size 8 suit, as I do with other brands too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charann from GREAT, CLASSY SWIMSUIT Having not worn a swimsuit for about 20 years, I was afraid to even entertain the thought of what I would look like in one. I immediately liked this suit when I saw it on the website, so I chose the Navy color and went with a size 14 and held my breath. Did not try it on right away...had to build up my courage gradually, When I did try it on....WOW it really fit nicely and looked nice on. The quality of the suit was more than I expected and the fabric was comfortable. I liked the neckline and the adjustable straps. The price was even a good price for a quality swimsuit. Now, I will be ordering a navy swimsuit coverup from LLBean to complete the look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MitzSq from Jewell Island Squareneck Tanksuit All my requirements were met with this great swimsuit: slimming look, soft cup bra, straps that stay put for lap swimming, comfortable with no tugging, and modest coverage. The first suit I bought met the 1-kilometer swim test so well that I ordered another. My only suggestion is to have it available in more colors! Best swimsuit that I have worn in a long time.
