Rated 4 out of 5 by 2kidsandabigyellowdog from Great coat ... I'd like another in a classic color This seems to be a very well made coat. As other reviewers mentioned, it does run a little large. (I ordered a Large. I am 5'3", and I typically order a shirt in an XL.) This fits comfortably, and I can wear a light layer under it. Great style to wear with business casual clothes to work (ie NOT sporty or too casual. Yay!). Seems like it will be warm enough for this purpose and it's NOT wool (Yay!). I ordered purple. While, I like purple A LOT, I really would prefer this same coat in a more classic color ... black or charcoal grey would be my first choices, but I would also consider tan or a shade of brown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RetiredToKentucky from Great Multi-Season Jacket What a nice jacket! I purchased this in grey, with the idea that it would be a slightly dressier version of a typical fleece. To my surprise it’s so much more. The fit is tailored and the petite small is perfect for my 110 lb, 5 ft 4 inch frame. The material is soft, but has some real heft to it, making the jacket very warm. I love the smooth lining for easy on and off. It looks great with both jeans and casual pants. One tweak might be to have the slash pockets lined with flannel or fleece for that cozy feel when you don’t want to wear gloves. I suspect this will be my go to jacket fall through spring except for those really bitter winter days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trailblazing from Awesome coat! This coat is absolutely wonderful! I have it in grey and wore it today (windy and high 40's) for the first time but definitely not the last. It is warm, soft and allows for movement due to the fleece. Plus it is machine washable and did not lose it's shape after it was washed (I washed it before wearing it). I know it will become a go-to jacket even when it gets colder because I can see it still being comfortable and not too bulky with layers underneath. I would have ordered another one immediately if it came in black. PLEASE make it in black - I think it would be a great seller! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by ExBrooklynite from Love the coat; hate the color I have this peacoat in navy blue and love, love, love it. So, I thought I would order another color. My favorite color is red, so I ordered it in "Molten Red." As soon as I took it out of the bag, I knew it had to be returned. The color is extremely bright, more coral or orange red than pure red. If I had read the reviews before placing the order, I would have seen that others felt the same way. Please consider making this coat in black, charcoal gray, camel, or a darker red. I would definitely order it in any of those colors. In any case, I brought it back to my local L.L. Bean store (Freehold, NJ) and they gladly exchanged it for another jacket. Thank you for your great customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ktonio from Purple Peacoat Finally received my coat that I'd been watching, stalking & reading all the reviews about before I finally decided to just go for it. I'm glad I did. I ordered the purple. I love the color & the way it feels. Its definitely going to keep me warm. It does run a lil on the big side but thats ok with me... The bigger it runs, the smaller I feel ;-) I ordered a small & I'm 5'3, 150 lbs. I could've gotten away with x-small. But I'll keep this one. It leaves room for layering. Only downside is like other reviewers said, flaps below collar wont stay down. So I folded down & put it back in packaging until I'm ready to wear it. (hope that helps) Overall, I'm happy with my purchase :D

Rated 3 out of 5 by FormerNutmegger from Love the fleece, but... I excitedly bought this coat online this past winter because wool peacoats make me itchy and I thought I had finally found a warm non-wool peacoat that I could wear when I needed something dressier. However, the molten red color was more orange than I expected and the buttons just didn't look right to me on the coat. They look cheap which affects the overall look of the coat. So I returned it. I have been watching online to see if new colors will be available this fall/winter because I don't care for any of the other colors. If LLBean came out with a true red version and improved the buttons I would buy this coat in a heartbeat. The fleece was thick and warm and the fit and style was adorable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by phoebepeony from comfortable peacoat syle for warmer winter climes. This coat arrived quickly and in good order. It is attractive, comfortable to wear (although I haven't had to wear it outside as yet). Fit me perfectly -- good arm stretch - nice pockets - pleasantly lined. I thought about exchanging it for the light blue color, however, the coat fit so well I decided not to bother. The reason I thought of exchanging is that I was expecting it to be navy blue' or at least very close to navy (which I love) -- but this coat is kind of between blue and dark purple -- maybe leaning more toward dark purple. It's not bad, just that I was expecting something else. It was advertised as the "bluest blue", I think which is fair to say that is what I got. A good buy for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Faithg from A Great Coat from the Best Coat Store in Town! Wow-- I was surprised how much a taffeta lining adds to a fleece coat. Honestly, fleece is wonderful on many levels, but it does get full of static and clingy in very dry, cold climates (where you want to wear fleece). This lining helps a lot. The coat has a roomy low hip/high thigh fit, and the deep blue color I got is gorgeous! It is towards the purple end of the blue spectrum, as others have noted, but not dramatically. And I like that anyway. I just love it! I immediately wore it out for a walk in 30 degree weather and was warm and cozy. I think it will look great for most dinner dates and just to walk the dogs!
