Rated 5 out of 5 by PCTgal from Thank goodness for LL Bean I so appreciate that there is a company such as LL Bean, who realizes that their are women who still want to wear jeans that sit at their waists, not their hips! I'm 5'7", 115 pounds and while I may have the figure to wear low-slung jeans, it's just not a look I like. I also appreciate that LL Bean still makes clothes that will fit slender women. Never thought that would be a problem - but in department stores, I'm often told to go to the teen girls' section. Since I'm old enough to collect Social Security, that's not a good look either....! So I go to my tried and true LL Bean, and order size 2, medium tall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Beanieboomer from L.L.Bean 1912 Jeans - Failure! I have been an LL Bean customer for over 15 years. During that time I have ordered many pairs of jeans, and loved the fit and quality. However, these jeans are clearly not up to the usual LL Bean standards. I measured them against my other LL Bean jeans, which I ordered less than 6 months ago. They are a full 2 inches smaller at the waist, and almost 1 inch smaller at the thigh. Since my usual style of LL Bean jeans are being discontinued, I am sad to say that I may have to find another company. When I emailed customer service before ordering these jeans. They assured me that the 1912 Jeans were exactly like the ones being discontinued. No they are not!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Averyl from Order a size down I bought three pairs in different washes. I loved them when I tried them on, and then when I put them on after washing and drying them. Perfect! However, after a few hours they stretched out so much that they were a size too big and baggy in all of the wrong places. I was almost swimming in them! I had the same issue with the Women's True Shape Jeans, Slim-Leg. They were perfect at first but then stretched too much. When I ordered a size down in the True Shape jeans they were perfect all day long. I'm hoping it will be the same with these once I receive the smaller size in the Classic Fit Straight-Leg jeans.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TXgrandmother from Returned them all I loved the original 1912 jeans but I can not wear the ones that have been restyled. I ordered my regular size 8 in boot cut. The crotch way way too long and the thighs were much tighter than I like them. I then ordered the straight leg in an 8 and had the same problem. All have been returned. I compared the thighs with a pair of light weight size 6 straight leg jeans and there is more than two inches difference in the width of the thighs. Not everyone has the thin thighs that LL Bean has designed these jeans to fit. The new 1912 jeans maybe wonderful for some people but not for me. Would be.great jeans if they fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by qualitylovingmom from Pretty good, order up a size I have hesitated in ordering these jeans before because they do not offer tall but finally broke down. I normally need a 33-34" inseam but these 32" inseam jeans pleasantly surprised me by being long enough. However, I did need to order up one size. I order a 10 in other LL Bean pants and had to get a 12 in these. Not sure why. The legs do bag out quite a bit but the waistband holds firm which means I don't have to spend the day tugging them up or worrying if I'm exposing myself when I bend or squat (I'm a preschool teacher). If only they didn't have spandex, I'd think they were the perfect jean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by cwbhcne from Great jeans--in white These are realty cute, great fitting jeans. (I got a size 2 with the highest and smallest waist. Classic fit I think?) Anyway I got the white ones. I wouldn't like the blue jeans because they are those fake wear and tear jeans that I hate. I mean it's okay to get jeans in the style they made in 1912, but I don't want them to look like they've been handed down from generation to generation ever since 1912. Besides I have plenty of worn out jeans that I've worn out myself. I don't need to buy jeans to PRETEND that I work. I DO work. So they really should have some plain blue and black jeans that aren't pre worn out for more conservative dressers because they really are great fitting jeans.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TEwing from Not what I was looking for I was looking for women's jeans that had full-length pockets-- like what jeans all used to have. I called Bean, and was told that the 1912 Jeans, Classic Fit, would have full-length pockets at least in the 2 sizes I inquired about (10 and 12). When they arrived, I discovered that they did not have full-length pockets; they had the annoying little shallow pockets that all women's jeans seem to have these days. My search for good pockets continues. But that is a matter of taste. If you do not mind short pockets, these jeans might be fine for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JCHD from Oh no! They are Discontinued I have several pairs of these 1912 classic fit straight leg jeans. last night I went to the LL Bean store to buy another couple pairs and they didn't have any. So I tried on a dozen other other Jeans-(favorite fit, true fit, etc) hoping to find something else. Unfortunately, nothing fit me right. So then I decided to order online. To my dismay the 1912-classic fit-straight leg style jeans are sold out/discontinued in all colors. I decided to check on the boot cut- classic fit... but I couldn't find any of those either. I am soooo disappointed. Please reconsider discontinuing this style of Jeans.
