      Rated 5 out of 5 by from buy it I don't normally review items but wanted to speak up due to seeing some poor reviews. I have the king size and love it. It stays in place during the night, I have not had any issues with it sliding around. Unlike most electric blankets the fabric is super soft and cozy. I like that you can program the blanket to turn off after a few hours if you like. I tuck the control down on the lower shelf of my bedside table so the light does not bother me at all. I find the quality to be far superior to any other electric blanket I have had in the past. We live in Maine and keep our bedroom cool, we are very comfortable with this + the LL Bean warm duvet on the coldest nights.

      Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Up Your Nightstand You'll want to know this blanket's controllers have a BRIGHT blue LED Power on light, as will as bright lights for temperature and duration settings. If you are like us, you'll have this on your nightstand beside the bed. I've been throwing a hand towel over controller so I can sleep. Black electrician's tape may work too. Or it might not bother you. But be aware. I cannot adjust any setting by feel in the dark either. I have to look at these bright lights to adjust it.Otherwise the blanket is fine. Very light, quite warm. We bought the gray, which has a strong bluish cast to my eyes.

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Blanket EVER This blanket incorporates features that make sleeping a joy! It has a Pre-heat function so that you can crawl into a (really) toasty bed. All of the heat settings can be timed. Once in the (preheated toasty) bed, the sleeper can turn the heat setting down and TIME it. For sleepers who start the night out tired and chilly, but wake up later very warm, this is perfect. Blanket turns itself off after time period that you specify, while you snooze peacefully on. Blanket is super soft, and quite cozy even when not doing its electric thing. So perfect that we bought another one for a second bedroom, despite the relatively high cost.

I replaced with a top rated Sunbeam that failed 13 months after purchase, with a 12month warranty. After much deliberation, I pulled the trigger on this LL Bean blanket. I was reluctant to double my investment in a blanket and I was a bit put off by all the reviews saying the blanket was slippery and needed to be stitched to fix. Let me tell you that this is by far the best electric blanket I've owned so far. The controls are sensible. The blanket feels good to the touch. It gets super hot super fast which I love. The variable heat and time settings is a nice touch. Overall extremely happy with this purchase almost two months later.

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my heated blanket I love my heated blanket, wish I would have bought one years ago. I don't understand people complaining about the layers shifting, I have no problem with that at all. I also love how the settings are so flexible. I can set it to warm up ahead of time, so I get the chill out of my body right away... so so nice. Then I have it set so it turns off after a few hours. Then I am not too hot in the morning. I have a lot of arthritis, the heat helps me relax and go to sleep, it is very therapeutic.

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Blanket! Worth the $$ We absolutely love this warm and soft blanket. It pre-heats in the time we get ready for bed and jump into bed with delight. My husband and I still rave about it every night how grateful we are to have it - even after a month! Living in Maine with night temps in the teens we've been able to turn down our room's thermostat 4 degrees; it's just that toasty. My husband shuts his side off within a short time; the blanket hold the heat in really well. But it's not heavy! We bought the King size blanket for our Queen size bed, and we feel that was great choice as we're both blankets hogs.

      Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrating Giving this three stars, but here's the breakdown of reasons: Pros: amazing softness along with excellent, therapeutic heat. I love the option to have it automatically turn off after an hour or three because I overheat in the night. Cons: top & bottom are not stitched together so the shifting & crumpling of this blanket is insane. The fabric is SO silky smooth that the blanket doesn't stay on our bed. Nor does our comforter stay on top of the blanket. It's a mess! We need start over every morning making the bed. Lastly, it makes noise like the inside layer is paper material or something. The controller is bright like others have mentioned but I just throw an extra pillow over it. Sadly, I think I'll be returning it because we just cannot find a way to keep the covers on the bed while we sleep.

      Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned this blanket The reason I returned this blanket is because the two layers of fabric the blanket was constructed from were not connected at all. The blanket constantly shifted while sleeping and was very difficult to make the bed. Other blankets I have had in the past have been tacked at various points to hold the two pieces together. The heater worked great and the fabric felt wonderful.
