Rated 2 out of 5 by Dorbitt from Bring back the old coat! I have an LL Bean raincoat with a little fake belt on the back that I adore. It's too big for me now, and getting a little shabby, and I wanted to replace it, but it's been discontinued. So I ordered the H2Off mesh-lined, the trail raincoat, and the Gore-Tex packable coat. In their favor, all were light weight and designated waterproof. But the fabric wasn't the same. All 3 coats seemed crackly and stiff; none of them fit as easily as my old coat, which has an almost satiny feel. All 3 went back. It's very hard to find a lightweight waterproof coat that's flattering. None of these coats fit the bill. Please, please bring back the old coat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Neecy from Nice Coat--runs very small This coat is well made and has great pockets. It runs very small in the shoulders and chest/rib cage. I have a small to medium frame, wear a size 10-12 and ordered a medium but it was too small--definitely could not wear a midweight layer underneath it as noted in the description. My old H2off rain coat (a size medium) is several years old, has been worn many times and is beginning to fray at the sleeve hems. This one has been radically redesigned and the smaller cut should be noted in the description. I returned it the day after it arrived. I would recommend this rain coat to someone because of the quality as long as they knew it was cut so small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bigredtruck from Classic raincoat I've owned other LLBean raincoats, but wanted a new one that has a more classic look, color appropriate for most occasions (navy), and longer coverage. Also important is a double zipper, handy for football games when I want to be zipped up but need to sit comfortably. Because of the lining this raincoat is comfortable in hotter weather without feeling like I'm wearing a personal sauna. I'm 5'4" 145, couldn't decide between M or L, went with the L mainly for layering purposes, it's length is at the knee. I like that the waist and hood can be adjusted to fit. This was on my wish list for Christmas, my wonderful husband put it under the tree with my name on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MelindaTEXAS from I love my H2OFF Raincoats - LONG and shorter I love L.L.Bean products. I dress my brother and my husband and me with clothes from L.L.Bean. THE H20FF RAINCOAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!! I have both the RAINCOAT and the LONG (very long) raincoat. I use the shorter version (the "raincoat") most of the time. It's wonderful when it's raining and it's also wonderful when it's cold and windy. The HOOD looks great, and most importantly, it is USEFUL - well constructed, pulls up over head and stays there effortlessly. Can be adjusted for good coverage. Living in a moderate climate, I did not get the heavy-duty lining; I add sweater or fleece-jacket when cold. In Black, this coat looks very professional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RetiredToKentucky from Classic Rain Coat This is my third H2OFF rain coat or jacket and they just keep getting better and better. This time I opted for the rain coat in black. The coat is a bit longer a three quarter length, but well above the knee. The petite small is perfect for my 5ft 4in 110 lb frame with room for a sweater for fleece underneath. That said, the cut is trim and does not look boxy. The sleeves hit me about an inch and a half below my wrist which provides good coverage without being too long. I particularly like the inside zip pocket which is perfect for my phone and ID. This has become my favorite travel coat as it takes up hardly any space in a suitcase or carry on bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cre8vone from Happy, Dry, Traveler! I have been wearing this coat for 2 years, washed it many times, traveled extensively with it, and have been very happy with my purchase. It is comfortable, fits well, and I'm able to layer a light fleece or sweatshirt under it when needed. It is great for every day use, but I especially appreciate it for travel when unexpected showers show up! The hood keeps my hair dry, and the longer length keeps most of the rest of me dry! The pockets are roomy and easily hold a pair of gloves. It rolls up compactly to fit in my carry-on or slips into the outer pocket of my send-thru luggage once I arrive at the airport.

Rated 5 out of 5 by filumena2 from Revamped Riancoat..H2off... So happy to see this updated style back with the standup collar. Additional improvements ...the hood stays put...no snapping & unsnapping ..and getting rid of those enormous color coordinated snaps that caught every scratch & mark...The sizes are true. I usually wear a medium in some bean things but love the large, since there is a draw string inside to cinch at the waist and possibly wear a sweater underneath when the weather turns chilly. Have several parkas in several different shades...but wanted something a bit longer.....a raincoat...Got mine in black. Love it!....Another great garment from llbean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by AAMD from Almost perfect I needed a rain layer that breathes. My old goretex jacket was supposedly like that but I found it was like wearing a plastic bag. This one comes closer to that ideal than any coat I have owned. I haven't worn it in warm muggy weather but I did find that when I am inside, I am not tearing the coat off after 10 minutes because I am too hot. It repels rain well. I would love some zippered pockets (at least one would be nice). I also wish the fabric didn't "swish" when I move my arms and walk (we need silent clothing for our birding) but this one isn't as noisy as my old goretex jacket. When I read that someone from Florida wears this coat, I was encouraged. I am quite pleased with this coat.
