Rated 5 out of 5 by Scoutpenny from Great addition to my foul weather wardrobe I am quite happy with the purchase of this lined and long raincoat. It replaces another L.L. Bean long raincoat I have had for over 20 years! I am 5' 6" tall and 125 pounds. The medium is a perfect fit and not too long at all as other reviewers have complained about...although of course height needs to be taken into consideration. The coat reaches down to my lower calf and while some may think this too long, I think it's the perfect length for helping to keep legs/pants dry when it's pouring out. This coat and my rain boots are really all I need on a rainy day. The hood covers all of my head too which is a plus. No need for umbrellas which I hate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hurdygurdy1 from Perfect fit I was pleasantly surpised to find that the misses petite large fit my shape so perfectly. At just under 5' 5" I took the advice of another customer and ordered a size up for layering and that was the right call. The length is great for me, though some may still find it a tad long. The best news is that both the color (I got the navy) and the tailored waist are both so flattering--just what I hoped for. I bought the H20 coat with the mesh lining for Washington (State) rains and so the true test will come once they descend, but this light weight, packable coat is looking like a winner already. Really pleased! Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Does the Job I am still lamenting the loss of the long dark green H2Off raincoat I purchased from LLBean in the mid-90's which was microfiber, A-line, and very flattering to any figure type. After many years, it lost its water repellancy and I had to replace it. I've had two coats from subsequent H2Off generations since then, and although the latest is an improvement over the previous one, it still does not replicate the fit and comfort of that first coat. But, it does what it says it does, i.e. keeps you dry, almost from head to toe. As a person who takes long walks with her dog in almost any weather, the coat will serve my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Princefilbert from Better than expected! I always expect and receive great products from LLBean but this is an exceptional coat--I hardly ever rave about purchases since my expectations are always met. This time my expectations were exceeded. Love, love, love this coat. Kudos! I purchased this coat with the thought that it would make a good fall/spring addition to my wardrobe after reading the description. The fit is perfect, the material and construction is high quality and I believe this will be used throughout the year as both a rain coat and one for warmth in above zero winter temps thanks to the removable lining. Thanks for an excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy44 from Better than expected After reading all the reviews about the new version, I was hesitant to purchase this expensive item. A close friend has one of the older versions with the wool lining and detachable hood and highly recommended it. I chatted online with a representative and decided to buy. It is more than I expected. I am 5'5, weigh about 140, am fairly average in build. The coat fit perfectly, can be worn with a sweater but not with another coat, and is very comfortable. I wore it on a windy day with temps in 20s and found the length more than adequate for protection. I look forward to wearing it with and without the liner. Thanks L.L. Bean for another product that I will wear until it falls apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DANZBB from Versatile! Finally -- a raincoat that is waterproof and soft enough to wear on clear days too. This is not a crinkly clunker of a raincoat, but a versatile every-day coat. Since I commute on public transportation 90 minutes to work, I was looking for something that would cover me in unpredictable and all weather conditions. This is it! The liner removes, there is a cinch waist and the removable hood has front and back adjustments - which is a must for the stormy, city wind tunnels I encounter. After arriving to work damp and with my shins soaked from a shorter "water resistant" coat made by another brand, the longer length and soft waterproof fabric of this coat are a dream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rtj1952 from H2OFF women's raincoat(s) I currently own 2 of these H2OFF raincoats in the long length & 1 in the short length. All are the ones with the zip out lining. I LOVE these coats. They don't look "boxy" & have some nice style touches + lots of utilitarian features like inside zip pocket (keys, subway passes, etc.) & snaps on sleeves & up & down the front. Other "outdoor" wear companies (like Lands' End) have women's raincoats that look like bags with no style features like this raincoat model. I do recommend that one NEVER washes these raincoats except by hand (or the waterproofing gets compromised). I watch for this model raincoat every year & if I need to up-grade I do. Thank you L.L. Bean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Herenow from Wrinkled and misfitting The coat came 3 weeks ago, it's been hung up ever since and still has just as many wrinkles. The fabric seems too synthetic to iron, so it looks very frumpy to wear. On top of that, the top part is loose fitting and the bottom part is tight which adds to the unkempt look. Yesterday when I wore it on a 45° afternoon, even with a lined LLBean hoodie, fleece pullover, and long sleeved top underneath, my arms were cold yet torso was warm. Am on the fence about returning it, will wear it again and may try to iron it but there's no instruction about whether it's OK to do so.
