Rated 1 out of 5 by TamD from Poor Quality I ordered a child's size shirt similar to this for my daughter several years ago and loved it. When I finally decided to get one for myself I was excited to make good use of it with the cooler weather heading in. As soon as I pulled it out of the bag, I knew it was going back. It was of such poor quality!!! The fleece was no where near the thickness of my daughter's and the flannel was so thin and the shirt felt cheap and poorly made. I might have kept it if the price was $29 but for $74 NO WAY. LL Bean needs to seriously consider the manufacturing companies being used and bring back more Made in America products. This was a major disappointment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Harley from L.L. Bean is On Trend! Just read a reputable fashion forecast for winter 2018-2019. Two hot trends for the season are plaids and cozy- this item checks both boxes! I purchased my favorite plaid in petite small AND petite medium. The small fits well over a cami or tee. The medium fits nicely over a sweater or sweatshirt. Both are keepers. L.L.Bean, please offer these hoodies in more "traditional" plaids. I'm in agreement with other reviewers- the outer shell isn't true flannel and shouldn't be advertised as such. While the fabric is a soft cotton, it is lighter in weight than most flannels and does not have the same brushed texture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cc0525 from on trend I bought this hoodie back in June when it was a two a day sale. Between the sale price and my coupons it was a steal. When I received it I immediately tried it on. I'm plus size and ordered my regular size and it fit good. I actually think I could have gone down a size. It is a boxy fit. I guess it depends on how fitted you like it as to whether to size down or not. It's very soft. My 19 year old daughter told me I was 'styling' in this jacket. I will probably get her one also. I can't wait for the weather to get cool so I can actually wear it, especially when I go to Freeport and Ogunquit this fall for vacation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PFShelly from Nice, but awkward sizing For reference, I'm 5'2", 118 lbs, and generally wear a standard size 2 (non-LLBean). I initially tried a petite xs, but it was extremely wide in the body and appeared chopped off (petites generally are proportionately shrunk all around, not just shortened). Returned for a regular XXS which arrived today with a much more appropriate fit--still oversized, but proportionate and not excessively wide. In general with LLBean, I find that the relaxed fit requires me to get a size smaller than I'd expect to not be a tent. Whether I'm a petite or not is hit or miss (despite my short stature). Glad XXS existed in this item as it was the winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alinka from wearing these hoodies three quarters of a year I was excited to see new colors of these flannel hoodies this fall. I have three of them from last fall and could not resist to buy another color a week ago. I live in New Mexico and I am wearing these hoodies every day most of the year. Being a woman of age I like the warmth and comfort they provide. My size is medium and I can wear a t-shirt or a long sleeve Henley under the hoodie without feeling restrained. Besides being very comfortable they are easy to take care of. I wash them in warm water and put them in dryer on medium. I did not have a problem with their shrinkage or loosing shape. These hoodies are very unique, and I hope LLBean will keep selling them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CuttingC0rners from Lower Quality than Men's shirt The women's version of this product isn't as nice as the men's. The men's version is made out of the nicer, warmer brushed flannel and the women's version is just "100% cotton flannel". If you google the definition of flannel "brushed is almost always in the definition". It's disappointing to see companies cut corners in women's versions of clothing while maintaining the quality for men. Makes you wonder how much they respect and value their female customers. I'll be shopping at other similar brands until this issue is resolved. Its a shame. LL Bean is known for quality long lasting clothing. I wish they would do better to maintain that reputation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Harley from This Hoodie's a Goody! I ordered this shirt in a petite small Black Watch plaid. For reference, I'm 5'1'' and 100 lbs., and the shirt fits well, allowing for a light layer underneath. I'm pleased that the sleeves are sized appropriately for a petite shirt- not too long as is often the case! Calling this a "flannel" shirt is really a stretch, however, as the outer plaid layer is merely thin cotton. I do appreciate the side pockets but wish they were a little bit deeper. I also think snaps might be preferable to buttons on this shirt. The shirt washes will in cold water on the gentle cycle, and dries on low heat without shrinking. I'd purchase additional shirts if more traditional plaids were available.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 49er from Think "sweatshirt" That's what this fleece-lined shirt feels like, limp and soft. As other reviews state, it is in deed, comfy, unbulky, and way overpriced (even with the seasonal price adjustment) for what it is. It does appear well-made, both the fabric and fleece are thin, but makes wearing comfortable. The sleeves are perfect on me (5'2") for a change. It is roomy enough to wear as a shirtjac. One of my concerns was that the upper back be too confining, which it was not, or the sleeves too narrow, also were not. I could call it a classic cut. Due to the price, I have not decided whether to keep it or not. It's almost perfect other than the steep price.
