Rated 1 out of 5 by Henrynry from Poor Fit baggy jeans I have purchased many pairs of Classic Double L Jeans for several years without a problem until now. My height and weight have not changed, however the Classic Fit has changed. The jeans are very baggy in fit now. I put my older classic on top of the new so called classics and fit is completely different. I recently returned one new pair assuming it was a mistake and ordered another classic pair. Tried on second pair and same problem, very baggy. Again measured against older pairs (3) and major difference it sizing. Did L L Bean change design and or have them manufactured at a new facility ? Perhaps your quality control has gone to sleep on the job ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by AgingGracefully from Harmony Restored It seems like Bean has found a supplier to make these jeans the way they used to be made and used to fit. My husband has worn this style and size for years --- sizing consistency is one of LLBean's hallmarks. But months ago, I ordered a pair and they were a bad fit, too tight in waist, baggy in leg. Thinking it missized, I order another. Same problem. Ordered one size larger; it was huge. Very disappointing. A week ago, I took a chance and ordered again. They arrived today and they are just right! Hooray. Something changed to the good and harmony has been restored. I have seen a number of reviews complaining about sizing changes and inconsistency. Maybe someone is finally listening,

Rated 1 out of 5 by WindyCityWindbag from Worst fit ever - get ready to be laughed at. These are mom jeans. I'm 40 years old, and don't like the "low rise" jeans that people 15 years younger than me wear. But these are terrible. They're very high rise, and even though the classic fit is supposed to be the slimmest fit, they are so big in the thighs that they look like jaipur pants. I'm 5'10 and 170 lbs, so not exactly a waif. Honestly, if you want your kids or the younger folks at work to pick you out as middle aged and having given up on your appearance, get these. If you care at all about the impression you make on other people, I'd look elsewhere. I hate these jeans. The denim seems to be ok quality, though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hillman from Hey, where did my jeans go? I've bought these jeans for years and found the fit and quality to my liking. The current iteration is quite different and I don't care for them. The fabric feels thin and stretchy. After wearing for a few hours they've grown in every dimension. This is an especially annoying characteristic since the fit has changed significantly. The Classic jeans are now almost as baggy as the Natural fit. The color of the dark wash is lighter and seems less like natural denim. I'll see if washing these enough times gets these jeans sorted out but I'm not optimistic. I've washed 1 pair 3 times with little improvement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by cobalt46 from Disappointed I've been buying these Classic Fit jeans for over a decade, always comfortable and well-fitted. The last two pairs were way too long: an inch to two inches too long. They were also baggy. The first pair I sent back and received a new pair which were still too long. I waited a year and ordered another pair hoping they had fixed the manufacturing problems. The labeling showed they were the size I ordered but when I compared them to three other pairs I owned they were much longer, by two inches. I washed them several times in hot water but they were still 2 inches longer than my other three pair. The fit, even after several washings, was much looser than the older pairs. I give up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LoyalLLBeaneur from Material noticeably flimsier than last year I bought two pairs Double L Jeans, Classic Fit, to replace older ones I've been buying for years, but found the new jeans made of much thinner, flimsier denim. It's a marked difference, and disheartening. I will watch how they hold up, but I don't see how such lightweight cloth can wear as well as the sturdier denim used in the past. These Double L Jeans no longer have their traditional rugged and substantial feel; they feel more like discount urban "fashion" jeans for indoor wear. I hope this was just a sub-par batch of cloth, or an experiment that will lead to restoring the old quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by avidfisherman from Double L Jeans, Classic -MISS-Fit I've been wearing Double L Jeans for over 20 years. Not any more. For the past year I have been unable to get the correct size and fit for the jeans ordered. After many returns they are still running 2" to 3" larger in the waist and the "Classic" fit is in reality the Relaxed" fit. They are very loose/baggy through the hips and thighs. How is it that I keep getting the same miss marked size and fit jeans time after time? Better question is... Why do I keep trying? Management needs to take a serious look the manufacturers quality control, because the issue is not going away: Only this frustrated customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CNB603 from Feeling out of the loop For as long as I have worn denim jeans, which is decades, no matter the brand I have always hung them on a hook by one of the belt loops. Never had a problem with this practice until I bought my first pair of the Double L jeans a couple of years ago. I liked the fit and the comfort. One day I reached for them and they were on the floor, a belt loop detached leaving a significant hole in the material. I thought perhaps they had been handled too roughly, so I bought another pair. Within weeks, the same problem, leaving the same damage. Flimsy workmanship. I won't be buying a third pair.
