Cresta Hiking Socks, Midweight Two-Pack is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good socks Very nice socks. Two things that bother me: 1. The elastic on the top for my legs is much too strong. When I remove the socks my legs have a deep indentation as though I was wearing a tourniquet. 2. Some of the inside threads come unraveled. The good is they feel good on the feet. Unlike cotton socks, when these Merino wool socks become wet my feet do not feel waterlogged and clammy. Fall through Spring these were the only socks I wore. Friends, wanting to know if they would like Merino wool socks borrowed a pair from me. They liked them so much then purchased some for themselves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can Not Believe It I purchased 2 pair of the Cresta , Cayenne socks on line and received them in 5 days. When I tried them on, My toes poked holes in the upper toe area of the socks. They were poorly made and were so thin that I could put my fingers through the fabric. I returned them to King of Prussia and got a refund. I've been buying for many years and have NEVER received any item so poorly put together. I hope you will correct this defect on future socks. Rated 3 out of 5 by from I can see my toes! I have purchased these socks for a couple years now because they have been the most comfortable midweight socks I can wear in the late fall and winter here in Maine. I went up to Freeport a couple weeks ago and purchased a couple pairs. I put them on when I got home and discovered that I can see my toes through the fabric! It looks as though the stitching is about to come undone. I am so very unimpressed with them this year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed Have worn these socks for a number of years and they have been great. Recent purchase had spots shred after a few wears. Not sure if defective batch or change in quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so good The fit was fine - the material was comfortable for the first 4 hours, but, after that they felt very scratchy. At the end of one day they were very pilled even though there was no movement in my shoes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable but thinner than expected I live in northern Wisconsin, and I (literally) have a drawer full of these Cresta Wool Hiking socks (and LOVE them!). I own many pairs of the lightweight version, and also several pairs of the much-thicker, "heavy-weight" version. I have always LOVED the weight of the MID-weight, and I recently purchased these two (additional) pair to add depth to my "back-up". But these socks are lighter (much less heavy material weight) than the standard socks that fill my drawer; not much heavier than/ different from the lightweight Cresta version that I (sometimes) wear in summertime/warmer weather. Bean quality control needs to examine (and change!) the material weight of these socks. They don't compare with the warmer, heavier-weight wool that earlier Midweight versions always maintained. Disappointing, but I WOULD recommend these socks to someone living in a warmer clime....they just won't work well for me in my climate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best socks ever These are pretty much the only socks I wear anymore. They’re cushy and comfy. They keep my feet toasty in the winter, and they wick sweat well in the summer. I generally get about 2 to 3 years of use out of a pair, wearing them once a week, and sometimes pretty hard, on backcountry hiking and canoeing (with lots of portaging) trips. Sizing is a bit large - I wear larges for my size 12, wide feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sock I am a podiatrist. I see different shoes and socks all day long. I try different brands of socks all the time to see if there is something new, improved, better, etc. The Cresta Socks were comfortable from the start. Usually wear athletic shoes or hiking-type shoes daily. These shoes work great for me. They are very thick the first time wearing them but I am sure after a few washes that they will get to a normal sock thickness. Wearing them with dress shoes probably will not work well due to their thickness. I like being able to order socks by size (I wear a size 14 shoe). I will definitely be ordering more. Highly recommended.
