Rated 4 out of 5 by ottomatic from Nice quality pants with a couple of quirks First, I have to say that I am somewhat large in the middle, so I always have a hard time finding things that fit correctly. These pants are great and offer everything that you might want (and not even expect) in a pair of pants, e.g. front button and ZIPPER, strong drawstring, 2 side pockets and a back pocket. (Nice!!). The pants were long on me,which I expected, but the elastic ankles are just a bit too wide and don't really grab onto my ankles that snug so they still flop over my shoes a bit. (which is why I specifically wanted elastic ankles). Oh well... overall a quality product. Fabric is soft, heavy, and warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by celticdoc from Thin and poorly sized I must have received one of the few pairs of thin sweatpants. : ) I thought these would be thick based on reviews and that they were lined. These are thin and not warm at all nor are they cozy like my other sweatpants. The one thing I like about them is the style. It's actually not real lining but white sort of fluffy back of the material. The picture is a bit deceptive. Had I handled these in person I would never have purchased them based on how thin they are. My jeans are thicker than these are. I would not recommend spending the money on these. I will be returning them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AJJJW from Comfortable, handy side zippers in legs I was very happy to find these. Very good quality and no modification needed. Side zippers in the legs of these pants are very handy for an amputee making it easier for my husband to put on his prosthetic. Width of the leg was also wide enough to easily go over the orthotic he was wearing before his prosthetic. Fly front is a plus, too. I have been asked many times where I found them. He has all the colors. A little more lint came off the gray ones the first time I washed them. After they were washed a couple of times, no more lint.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PhilZ from Good Buy These are good sweat pants and they are sized correctly. I like the zip-fly pants as my other Bean sweats did not have this feature. Features that could be improved upon are the side pockets and draw string. The side pockets are not deep enough and I found that when I sit down in my car some items (e.g. glass case) would fall out of my pockets onto the floor. As for the draw string, I prefer the round braided string to the flat cloth version in the current model because I think the round cord ties more securely. Lastly, I would like more color options on the pants to match all of the sweat shirts’ color options. If so I might purchase another set or two.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TuscalosaTex from Great product, but it shrinks I starred buying these sweats 10 years ago; I needed a tall size and LLBean was one of a few available. My old sweats have begun wearing out and I've replaced them with new, better designed products. However, unlike the old sweats, the new tall products all shrink significantly, and continuously. I wash and dry on low settings, but nothing effects the shrinkage. Because of the high quality product and limited market offerings, I just replace the pants every year as they become too short. I replace the jackets less often as they seem to shrink less. I just wish Bean would pre-wash its raw material before making the great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JackBeanstalk from Pillage These sweatpants are VERY comfortable, pleasingly warm in the winter, fit well [when in doubt, choose a smaller size], and look great. Why do I downrate them? As some have already commented, they need elastic at the bottom, as the length is not customizable, so unless you have very long legs the pants could drag on the floor or against the back of your footwear. More importantly, these pants produce "pills", little clusters of fabric which gather inside the pants and fall onto the floor. All over the floor. In every room. I have laundered them three times, inside out, and they are still pilling. Very annoying. IF the pilling stops after another few washes, these will be the best sweatpants I have ever owned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by chasemur from SHRUNK I'm so mad. These sweat pants were a gift to my husband and they started out seriously phenomenal. They were the perfect kind of fit that made my husband feel okay about wearing them out and about. They fit longer and looser like a pair of jeans and he loved them. We washed them, following the exact wash instructions and they came out 4 inches shorter! They look absolutely ridiculous and are very uncomfortable now. Cold water and low heat should not have done this. What gives!? I didn't spend this much money on a pair of sweat pants for them to be unwearable! Disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mudbat from Need more inseam options I was really intrigued to find a sweat pant with a FLY. Awesome! I guess you have to be a man to fully appreciate this feature. They are heavyweight and well constructed. I ordered the shortest inseam (30"), and I was concerned when I tried them on that they would be just a little too long. Worn with just socks I was constantly stepping on the cuff area. Before I returned them I washed them in hot water to see if they would shrink. They shrank just enough that the problem was solved. I could have given them only four stars for this, but the situation was resolved. In a perfect world a 28" or 29" would also be available. Overall, I'm very pleased.
