I wear it both inside, as a sweater type garment; and outside, as a light jacket, where the hood comes in really handy. Inside, it’s too hot for sitting by the fire, but it’s nice on a chilly morning in lieu of cranking up the heat. Outside, I might need another layer if I were waiting for a bus; but in any temperature, it’s perfect for walking from the car to a store or stepping outside for a few minutes with the dog.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good shirtjacket LIke this colorway. But, like the other I have of this style, it's a bit misfitting around the hips, a bunching of lining to outer flannel. It is a good shirtjacket, just could be a little better fitting.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Green plaid Nice soft green plaid that blends with lots of shades. Fit is a little snug in the middle to bottom. Would like to see it with an ivory or cream lining. Good materials; perfect for morning walks on cool days.

Bean for a long time and always been pleased but this was a shocker. It wasn’t flannel. It was cotton on the outside, and the quality of the material and workmanship was terrible. I don’t think I’ve ever been displeased with anything from Bean But this was a huge disappointment. Needless to say, I returned it, and would not recommend it to anybody.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, exchanged regular for petite Right off, let me say that if you are on the border between regular and petite, I would suggest the petite. The regular sleeves were quite long on me. I got the faded sage, and the colors are slightly different than how they looked on the website, but still lovely. The green is not quite as bright and then there is a light blue and a kind of pinkish gray along with a cream color. It looks great with my gray hair, but would probably work well if you are lucky enough to be a blonde, also!
