      Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent blanket, warm without weight I bought my first washable wool blanket more than 15 years ago. It has been washed many times, air dried. Although it is still in great shape it has shrunk over the years and only just covers my queen size bed. .I purchased a new, king size blanket which I knew would be large but wanted more overhang and it would still fit the bed even if it shrinks. I would recommend it for anyone wanting a light weight, but warm blanket. Even in the winter, I am warm with just a sheet, the wool blanket and a down comforter.

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! What a blanket! For months, I kept looking at this blanket. The price was a little steep. I finally bought it. AND, it turns out that not only is it washable wool . . . it is also a Pendleton. OHMYGOSH! And made in the USA. And it is beautiful. And it is warm without being heavy. When I worked in the corporate world, I wore Pendleton. The styles and colors were just one-of-a-kind. That is this blanket. If you are hesitant, don't be. It is so very much worth it.

      Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as expected The colors on the blanket that arrived were entirely different than the colors pictured--not just a color correction issue, but literally a different blanket. It seemed nice enough, but definitely super scratchy and kind of thin, like a regular old wool blanket of okay quality. I have half a dozen vintage wool blankets that are softer and thicker from back when quality was the norm. If it were 50 bucks it would be well worth it. Maybe even 80. But way too overpriced, even considering what you expect to pay for LL Bean stuff. Sent it back

After waiting quite some time to upgrade my bedding from a thick cabin blanket to prettier, cozier layers, I settled on this wool blanket. So glad I did! It is so versatile to meet the varied weather here up near Lake Ontario. I've paired it on top of a sheet for perfect weight during the waning days of summer and have transitioned it to being the top of 4 layers now that we are getting chilly nights. Couldn't be happier with the warmth, weight and of course the quality!

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my 5th wool blanket purchase! Nobody sells better wool blankets than LL Bean. They are warm without being overly heavy. I keep two on my bed all year round. A little overkill? Absolutely not. I generally pull one up as it's needed as I am a "freeze baby". Then the beauty of a Pendleton blanket cannot be over emphasized. The colors are so rich and vibrant; i.e., true Pendleton colors. As they are a little expensive, I save up my Bean Bucks for the purchase.

Opted for the king size and use the extra length to turn over and double up at shoulder-height on a smaller-sized bed. The blue plaid on cream background looks marvelous with surrounding wood furniture. LLBean again got this product right in going with the Pendleton brand!

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite blanket (but do NOT put in the dryer) I love this blanket! I used to use a thin cotton quilt with poly batting in the summer for when the AC was a bit too cold, but I would roast since memory foam bed + polyester = HOT. I started using this blanket instead, and even though it's wool it's so much more breathable and comfortable! It's a nice warm blanket when you need it, but it breathes so well you can use it when it's warmer out too. One thing, I called Pendleton to ask if I could put this in the dryer since I didn't see any instructions on the tag. They said no, I should hang it up, since the dryer heat will damage the fabric. I throw it over my metal (canopy) bed rails and it's dry in 4-6 hours (king size!). As long as you have somewhere to hang something that large, there's really no reason to put it in the dryer since it dries so fast without it. I have a queen blanket directly from Pendleton and a king LLB Pendleton blanket, both for my queen size bed. The queen fits my bed nicely. The king obviously gives a lot more overhang on the sides but doesn't touch the ground, so either size can go on a queen bed. When I bought mine a pricing glitch made the king $70 cheaper than the queen, so the choice was obvious! The check looks good no matter which way you turn it, so sometimes I let it hang over the sides and sometimes I turn it sideways and tuck the extra under the end of the bed.

      Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Blanket Ordered a King size blanket for my queen bed and I am able to double up the bottom to keep my feet warm. Blanket is very well made and warm. The blue check is very pretty and goes well with any decor. Definitely would buy another and recommend this blanket to a friend!
