    • Classic Fit: Sits at the natural waist and trim, with a traditional straight leg.
    Why We Love It
An L.L.Bean exclusive, our plush flannel fabric is meticulously woven with longer-staple cotton, which means the individual cotton fibers are about one-quarter inch longer than short-staple fibers, making a huge difference in fabric strength and quality. Then, it's meticulously brushed eight times on each side and given a "touch test" by a master weaver to declare it soft enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Backordered more than not. Been buying these flannel sleep pants for years, they're great though this year (ordered late summer 2016) the flannel wasn't as nice as previous years, there was some slight pilling after a few washings, in previous years the Bean flannel sleep pants did not pill at all even after 50+ washings just got softer, I am hoping the slip in this past year's quality of flannel was just a one time thing. Used to be decent flannel was easy to find everywhere, Bean's seem to be the only retailer left to sell quality flannel, please continue to do so. Looking forward to when these aren't on "backorder" again. :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They used to be great...but not now I have been buying these for 5 years. They have always been comfortable and lasted 2-3 years. The last batch I bought (3-4) have all ripped in the inseam within 1-2 months. Having looked carefully at the stitching and the material, it is clear that these are being made with cheaper quality materials. This is bothersome as I wonder if it is a new trend. I have bought from LL Bean for 30 years, and the one thing I always, always trusted was quality. Sure, sizes may jump around, colours may not look like I thought...but quality was never in doubt. Too bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Okay I used to order flannel pajama pants from LL Bean and they were awesome. The old ones had a great fabric and the tall sizes shrank to the point where they were still long enough to fit. These are made of a very thin fabric and shrank so much that I thought of that movie, "Honey I Shrank the Kids". Great movie but not really what I'm looking for in my pants. News Flash LL Bean: your customers wash and dry their clothes. We don't go to you for things that need dry cleaning. I would rate these as OKAY but not worth the price given the low quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the typical L.L. Bean quality Firstly, I love L.L. Bean products - normally. The flannel shirts we've ordered are phenomenal. However, I ordered three pairs of these flannel pants (as a gift) and in less than six months of occasional use, one pair is threadbare along the front and inner seams. On close inspection, the flannel seems very, very thin and not substantial at all. Yes, it's beautiful and soft - but it is not durable. Something has changed about the quality. In contrast, Hubby has a pair from JCPenney that is over three years old and still going strong.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lint Black Watch. I first washed the garment so as lint wouldn’t get on other wash. After drying the lint filter was thick with blue/black lint. There so much I washed and dried them again. Again the lint filter was thick with blue/black lint. This occurred 4 times. I couldn’t believe there was any fabric left. On the fifth washing I added some other wash and every item was covered in lint. I put the items in the dryer and again it came back full of lint. After the 5th wash and dry I wore them and then noticed partials of lint on the floor. This was over a 4 day period. I finally decided to send them back. Color: Black Watch

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need 34 waist option I ordered the size large for my athletic teenager who is 6'5 and 180 pounds without looking to see that a size large tall is a 36-38 waist size. Needless to say it came in way too large. I immediately went on line to see if I could order these in a size medium tall but it is not offered. We loved these sleep pants and are so sad that they are not available in a medium tall size. PLEASE make them available. We would be a happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this style with pockets AND drawstring! Ladies, these "classic" Scotch Plaids will work for you as well! I wanted the Grey Steward (like hubby's) for myself, and actually preferred this color over what was offered in misses styles. I love the elastic waist with drawstring custom fit and side pockets as well. Since I am only 5' 2", 110 lbs. the size small ran a bit long. I considered cutting and hemming them, but opted instead to run 1/2" elastic in existing leg hem casing, giving them a REALLY cute gathered, loose, and more feminine, appearance. I am LOVING them, and they are SO warm, comfy, and cozy... now that we are FINALLY having cooler weather. Hubby and both adult sons continue to love theirs as well! I do wish LL Bean still offered them in the Holiday (Red, Green, & Khaki) Plaid, however.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stupid The pants were of good quality material and fit as expected from LLBean. However, unbelievably there was no fly opening as you would expect for a man's pant. I am not going to drop my pants every time I go to the bathroom. Nothing is mentioned in the description about this fact. Obviously, I immediately sent back the two pants ordered. Whether they are going to charge me for shipping back the pants is up to them, but the $6.99 cost is worth the price for not having worthless pants. Just a silly design. I have ordered from Bean for many years, but this may well change my decision in the future.
