Rated 1 out of 5 by CherNooch from Shrinks continuously I bought this shirt in three colors. I was thrilled with their softness and fit when I purchased them. I have never dried them in the dryer, I wash in cold and hang my shirts to dry, then press them. Unfortunately these shirts have shrank and continue to shrink. They no longer stay tucked into my jeans and the sleeves are now halfway up my forearm. They have been a big disappointment. In fact I have stopped wearing them. I did also buy a long sleeved T-shirt listed as unshrinkable, and it has washed well and I've dried it without issue. Save your money and buy the non-shrinking shirts as labeled, don't bother with these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by anybodyanywhere from Shrinks I really love the feel of these shirts but they SHRINK. I compared the before & after of these shirts (I have bought a few) & the shrinkage is substantial. The sleeves of an XL shrank 2 inches. The length shrank 2.25 to 2.5 inches. Width of the arms approx 1 inch. The width of the chest/ torso 1.5 inches. The un-washed & un-shrunk shirt is too big so I wanted & anticipated a little shrinkage. That said the arms lengths & the body lengths were a little too short after washing. If this came in a tall version that would be perfect. I still like these shirts. Maybe cold washing & hang drying with stretching in between will be the answer going forward.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jbf06 from Don't buy.... Love the colors. Love the soft fabric but.... I have had 4 of these for about 3 months and they have all shrunk so much in length in the arms and bodice that I don't ever wear them. The sleeves continually fall down my arms due to the fabric stretching out. I feel frumpy and baggy in them. I have only washed these in cold water and dried on the lowest setting for 5 minutes, yet they have shrunk considerably. Too bad as the fabric and colors are lovely. Do NOT recommend. I have debated returning them, but have decided in lieu of the cost for a basic t-shirt,and the fact I never wear them anymore, I will be returning mine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MKlady2 from Not made true to size... This long sleeve tee was a disappointment. It appears to be well made, but the sizing is slightly off. I've been buying from LL Bean for a very long time and never had an issue with a large size. This tee fits, but feels a tad snug that I'm afraid once washed, it will shrink and no longer fit. I have read other reviews where this is an issue with other customers as well. Like I said, I've been buying a very long time from LL Bean without hesitation as to the fit, but now I no longer have the confidence in tops and sweaters like I use to. I can say that I am satisfied with their pants. They still fit true to size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JMT1414 from Nice, but they do shrink I have one of these that I've washed and dried 3 times, and another that I've washed and dried twice. In my experience, they do shrink on the first wash and dry. This is especially apparent in the sleeves, which lost a good 1 1/2 - 2 inches in length. This worked out well for me as the sleeves were too long to start and now fit perfectly. The body did not seem to shrink quite as noticeably, and continues to be a good fit for me. I've since purchased several more colors. If you like the shirt, I'd recommend buying one and putting it through a wash/dry before deciding whether or not to buy additional colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jonedw from Sleeve length changes in different colors? I've been ordering the white ones (5 at a time) for years. Yes, they shrink but the timing of absurdly short sleeves and unremovable stains has always pretty much converged. Decided to try a bulk order of light grey (better for gardening/tomato cooking/cleaning). What the heck? The sleeves are pre-shrunk? Read a bunch of other reviews and, recently, short sleeve length seems to be a pretty consistent complaint. LLBEAN: People are not getting smaller. They are getting taller (fatter too if I am an exemplar). One can always shove a very long sleeve up and, if I wanted bracelet or 3/4 length, I'd order it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jonedw from My yearly order of 5 in white-sleeves comment These are the best long sleeve tees ever if you like a heavier weight fabric (I do as I have lumps and bumps) and dislike pima's texture. However. Though the sleeve length is great unwashed, if you use a dryer -even on low- they shrink. Live in an area where hang dry takes days & days. BTW, I have an unused tee from earlier years and I compared the hand of the fabric (I buy 5 in white every year). Seems to be the same. I wish the heather grey was back. Though the sleeves in that color were short prior to washing when last available, heather grey is an extremely useful color and I wish I could still buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MSJ7 from Awesome tees! I Love these shirts! I Love LLBeans quality! This Spring I finally decided to try out these shirts and I was not disappointed. I was only sad that I could not get the Light Apricot Heather as it sold out almost immediately and I really wanted that one : ( I have one in almost every color and really want to see LLBean bring out a PURPLE one! Yes! Purple : ) Every girl needs a purple shirt. Maybe a purple heather one would be pretty. The fit seems true to size and the fabric is neither too thin or thick. I only hope LLBean does not get thinner fabrics the next seasons as everywhere else seems to be going under they're promised quality... Keep it up LLBean!!!
