Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Length is Back! I stopped buying t-shirts from LLBean several years ago because the styling kept getting shorter and boxier. With waste lines going down and the shirt length going up, I couldn't wear an outfit without exposing my belly for everyone to see - and I'm only 5' 5". I ordered this shirt on sale and with a coupon that was about to expire because I figured for $4.99 I could wear it around the house. It arrived yesterday, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The t-shirt material is a good weight, and best of all, it hits at my hip with plenty of shirt to cover everything I want covered! I'll probably order some more colors and hope that they're all this style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved color but too short I LOVED the Lemon Peel color of this tee. I should have known better than to order because LL Bean tees are just too short for my taller frame. I even ordered up a size so if it shrank, I could still wear it. I tried it on and it was not too big in the belly area so I'm thinking this year, the tees run a little smaller. The length was just to mid hip and any shrinkage was going to be a problem. I hated to send it back because the material was very nice and the color was so pretty. Please, LL Bean, if you're listening, could you make some Tall sizes in your tees and turtlenecks? Us taller than average ladies would buy every color you made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warning...shrinks in the dryer! I ordered one of these, then liked the shirt so much I bought two more. They became my go-to shirt, getting worn far more than anything else in my closet. They are soft, a nice weight, a great cut, and best of all, they were long enough to make me feel comfortable bending and stretching and doing just about anything. Notice I said "were." I've been hanging them to dry, but accidentally threw one in a medium dryer yesterday. It shrank three full inches. I know they are 100% cotton, which is why they feel so heavenly to wear, but I wish they'd been pre-shrunk. I'll be ordering more, but I'll be a lot more careful with them in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from There's no "T" in this shirt! Desperate in my search for a well-made T-shirt, I finally packed up and made the pilgrimage to Freeport to see these shirts for myself. I left frustrated and disappointed. Every style of women's T-shirt currently offered by LLB (pima, unshrinkable, sport, Bean's) isn't a "T" -- it's a square with armholes. While the fabric and make are solid, every one of these shirts is FAR too short and FAR too wide. What a horribly unflattering shirt!! I'm soooo glad I didn't order these online, as all the models seem to be wearing a different cut. PLEASE make these shirts longer, or at least offer a "Tall" option (why are there Men's Tall but not Women's Tall??)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality I was searching for the perfect white tee, and the L.L. Bean Tee is it! The fabric thickness is much thicker than I expected, and the feel is extremely soft and comfortable. I probably could have sized down to an XS, but I like a looser fit. Even in white, this tee shirt is not see-through. For those of you also considering the slightly more expensive Pima Cotton Tee, I purchased both to compare. The L.L. Bean Tee feels almost identical to the Pima Cotton Tee as far as thickness and fit, however the L.L. Bean Tee has a wider, less formal looking collar. I love both shirts and wear them mostly interchangeably.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unexpected shrinkage The shirt was very soft, pretty color, fit very nicely. I washed it one time and dried it and it shrunk to the size of a child's shirt. I was very disappointed and didn't expect this from an LL Bean shirt. I've always washed and dried my t-shirts. I had ordered 2 so the second one I washed and hung to dry. Unfortunately it had too many wrinkles so it wasn't wearable. I ordered another shirt in a much too big size. After washing and drying this one is okay but the fit isn't great. I would not recommend this shirt and am surprised that LL Bean is carrying such a poorly made item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Construction quality changes? Still the best BUT I order the LLBean long sleeve tees in bulk (see my review - now called "interlock"?) and these in lesser amounts. Love the 100% cotton *thicker* fabric as my waist line is somewhat lumpy and the short sleeve length is good. However, I agree with another reviewer that the sewing of the neckline trim has deteriorated in quality. And I'm not seeing the grey in the current offerings (how stupid is that?). Btw, all of the traditional LLBean tees shrink and you need to allow for that (I wash inside-out in cold and dry on low). I will be very upset if LLBean ever quits making this style as I hate Pima. Disgusting texture.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Odd Fit I did not like the fit and returned the shirt. The arm holes felt odd, the shirt had a boxy look with too much fabric in the middle and binding at the hips, which resulted in the illusion that I am big through the middle. I purchased 2 other short sleeved T's (carefree and Pima) and all had the same cut. I thought maybe it was me, so I tried on 2 3/4 sleeve LL Bean shirts purchased last year, one had never been worn and the other had been washed. They both fit fine. I think the new cut is for large busted slim hipped women. It is so hard to find 100% cotton T's anymore.
