Rated 1 out of 5 by mtnwoman from major shrinkage! i love the feel of pima cotton and all aspects of this knit top except the fact that these tops all shrink upwards. the sleeves shrink up 2-3 inches, the body of the top shrink up 3-4 inches and then fall at your waist if you are lucky enough to have a short torso. and, they shrink more every time you wash them. yes, i use cold water and low or no heat dryer settings. this knot top fits perfectly until you wash it. ordering a size up does not help since then it is short and baggy. would suggest ordering the unshrinkable tee instead. it is not as feminine looking, but at least it does not become a child's size 5T or similar after washing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LinAlt from Great fabric, please think forward... Love the quality cotton fabric...own multiple units in black...please rethink your color choices or get some color guidance from a fashion expert... Consider seasonal changes keeping the basics black & white...I think you will double or triple your biz if you do so...Also, based on experience, the tees shrink in length, making them short for anyone 5ft 5" or taller...so having alternative length should be worth a test run...You could send out a questionnaire to all your customers that invest in this fabric asking their opinion as to what they want & your buying office can evaluate the priorities??? Just a thought...

Rated 1 out of 5 by GretaMom2 from Too thin to wear alone; size too small I purchased two of these T-Shirts and with both the fabric was so thin I would not wear it without something underneath. What has happened to the quality of LL Bean? I've purchased these Ts in the past and the thickness of the fabric was great. With the newest product, I would have to wear two together to equal what I previously purchased. The Azure color was beautiful and even after washing, the color remained vibrant. Also, the size was smaller than my previous purchase. Ordered same size and color (white) as before but not happy with this new order. Both have been returned. I'm at the point of no longer purchasing T-shirts from Bean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ShoesGalore from sizing is messed up I have been buying this style for many years and loved it, but now the sizing has suddenly changed. A few weeks ago I ordered several in extra-large (my usual size). The body was huge (both wide and long), and the sleeves were 2 inches longer than my older shirts. Sent them back and ordered large. Sleeves were still too long. Sent them back and ordered large petite. Tried them on, fit OK, sleeve length was good. After washing (cold water) and drying (low heat), they now don't fit: sleeves too short and body too small. I have never had these shirts shrink before. Can't win! LLBean, PLEASE fix your sizing!!! I am so disappointed that I can no longer get a shirt to fit me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Seck from Fit to Be L.L. Bean's Pima Cotton Tee? One of L.L. Bean's all-time great items, its long sleeved, Pima cotton tee, has taken a tumble. A personal wardrobe favorite for about 15 years, the soft cotton, long sleeved shirt no longer fits. This year's model is boxy — and barrel shaped as worn. Describing it as oversized would be an understatement for this classic now hit by fit and sizing problems. As a result, Bean's long-sleeved Pima cotton tee lacks style. For this onetime appreciator, it is hard to wear, at all, without tucking it in. Former devotees such as I can hope L.L. Bean restores the former fab styling, fit and sizing to this casual sportswear and personal luxury, once so versatile.

Rated 2 out of 5 by goosegirl101 from Great if you are SpongeBob Square Pants This shirt is NOT fitted. I know that it says it is, but it is not. It is square and a little on the short side. I am 5'6 and 135 pounds. I am fit, but not skinny. I have large breasts. This shirt fit at the shoulders and around the bust and fell straight down from there. If I tucked it in, it would likely have worked out because of the length. No waist definition whatsoever which made me look completely dumpy. The fabric is lovely. Super soft and sturdy. I really wanted to like this shirt but the fit is simply awful. I returned it. If you carry weight around the waist and are short, this would be a great shirt for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BKtravels from Needs to be longer I bought this tee shirt in a couple of colors and really like it except for one thing. It just isn't long enough. I decided to keep the tees because the colors are bright and fresh and the cotton feels beautiful. Even new, however, it rises a bit above the waistline of my pants when I raise my arms. It will only be worse after washing even if shrinkage is minimal. I don't like the chill when my midriff is exposed and I don't think anyone wants to see the navel of a woman in her 60"s! Just another couple of inches in length would have made this a 5-star tee. I am 5'7" and I wear a medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by chameli from Best Pima After buying LL Bean Pima shirts I don't buy them anywhere else because the others just don't measure up. I have three from 18 years ago that still look new and several I bought when they introduced petite sizes last year. (I have two of the short-sleeve button front that I wish you would bring back). The material is beautiful and silky and feels very nice against the skin. I do however agree that the material differs for different colors. Like I have said in an earlier review I wish you would bring the stitched-on label back for the Pima shirts. The printed label shows through the material and is not pretty.
