It is a traditional substantial wool sweater with no frills, with good quality and warmth. I purchased a size Small R. The off-white undyed color goes with everything, and I wear it often. The fit is comfortable with room to move, but not baggy and sloppy-looking. The sleeves are long enough to accommodate movement when I go snowshoeing and hiking

My sister is a long time LL Bean fan and suggested I order a wool sweater. Very happy I did! My heater is finally fixed, but I’ll still be wearing this grey sweater for years to come!

It's a little boxy and I like it that way, but it's not necessarily everyone's preference. I was hoping that it could also be dressed up and dressed down, but honestly, it's a little too casual to look like a dressy sweater. It's also a little scratchy for my taste...but still a great casual, well-made sweater. I can imagine taking walks, working in the garden, meeting friends for a casual drinks (think sport bar) , but not something for a dressy dinner.
