Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and warm! LOVE LOVE LOVE this coat! If you need to wear a parka, odds are you live in a cold climate. That means we wear sweaters and sweatshirts under our coats. I’ve always wondered if manufacturers think we’re all Kardashians - wearing nothing but bandeaus and tank tops under our parkas? I’ve FINALLY found a coat that fits over big bulky sweaters and still allows for movement! And, it doesn’t weigh 400lbs! I was in -27* temps today, and the only parts of my body that were cold were the parts not covered by this coat. I purchased an XL, which is what I’d normally get, and it’s perfect! I don’t feel or look like the Michelin man. Yay! If you DO wear only tank tops under your parka, then I’d suggest sizing down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money This coat is very warm. The quality is wonderful! I’m not sure how it holds up long term or washing but for now, I would purchase again in multiple colors. I would like to have tried this on first but with covid that isn’t possible. I usually wear a medium or large in women’s outerwear because I don’t like it tight in the shoulders/back but I think I could have sized down with this. I’m here writing this review because there were no reviews when I purchased and I hesitated to purchase. Buy this coat!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super Cozy but Big I really wanted to love this jacket, and I will probably order in a smaller size, but the medium I ordered is huge on me! I usually order a medium in coats so that I can wear sweaters underneath, but the medium in this jacket personally seemed huge on me. I think I could easily wear a small, or maybe an extra small. The length wasn’t a problem, it landed perfectly near the knees, however, the chest area looked like a potato sack on me! It didn’t really have any form at all. Otherwise, material, comfort, everything else is great! I will probably try to downsize and hope that works better, but if you are thinking about upsizing for extra room, I personally don’t think it’s needed :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Function over Fashion. I want both Tried on and returned. I am after something more stylish/versatile while still being warm and cozy. Pros: Very warm. The whole jacket feels luxurious and is very soft like a cloud. Sleeve length is nice and long. Double zipper so you can open the bottom for movement. Note: zippers on the sides expand the fabric rather than open the jacket (like a suitcase). Cons: (a common issue I notice with longer jackets) the pockets are too low. I like to hold my hands near my hips, not the middle of my thighs. It also looks strange how low they are with how much they stand out on this jacket. It has no shape, like a big sack. They could add an elastic band to the back to cinch the back and hold the jacket closer to the body. Sherpa lining and drawstring on the hood give it an overall less clean look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not warm enough I was looking for a warmer coat. I would only wear this coat down to maybe 40F. I wore it with a wool sweater at 35F and sadly it was not warm. This is a well constructed coat. I like the huge pockets. There is plenty of room to wear a bulky sweater underneath so if you want a snug coat, order 1 size down. I knew that it is a polyester down type filling. The sherpa lining is only in the very top of the bodice and the hood. Not around your lower torso and legs and not in the arms.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Generously Sized My last few pieces of outerwear from LL Bean have been size L. I ordered this coat in both a medium and large for comparison, and both were huge. Even with a bulky sweater underneath, I could easily size down to a small. The fit is boxy and not particularly flattering, but it seems like it would be warm. I'm waiting on a few other coats that are on backorder before I decide whether or not to try the small. Agree with other reviewer about the pockets hitting mid-thigh, which is a little awkward. I wanted to love this but it's just ok for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Walking warm Mummy I love this coat! It covers and fits snug so no cold wind bites you. In the North Maine Woods the winter is endless. Seven months of snow last year and the new polar vortex led me to get this coat because I need to be outside. I wear it for chores, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, walking, and sitting in the snowbank watching my kids ice skate. I like comfort, and it is cozy! The pockets are great too, deep space for camera, extra mittens, and mask. Thank you for quality and smooth service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm for Chicago winters! I am typically a S/M depending on the store (although I have been buying more mediums lately) and I bought a medium in this coat, despite the reviews saying it ran big, and I am glad I did. I found this to run true to size, but maybe because I am 5'9. It comes to just above my knees and the sleeves are long enough. It is a great weight for cold weather and the sherpa around the hood is a nice touch. I do wish it had an inside pocket, though (I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because of this) But for the money, which is definitely on the low end for a winter puffer, this is a great coat.
