Men's BeanFlex® Jeans, Classic Fit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 117.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I haven't been able to find jeans that fit for years now. They tend to sit too low and keep sliding lower, forcing me to "hitch up my pants" regularly. Maybe it's my senior male butt, or lack thereof, but I've even tried jeans made for seniors. This BeanFlex classic fit sits higher on the waist and stays there. I also fault most jeans for being too heavyweight. This is mid-weight, and I'm loving it. Plus it is soft and flexible whereas many jeans are "boardy" or stiff. The only fault I can find is that I had to order a size smaller in waist, but I've found that to be generally true of jeans with spandex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I have a hard time with jeans. I like a modern tapered look but my build limits what I can wear. I have what I would call an athletic build, but my thighs are large. However, usually when a brand calls their jeans “athletic” they tend to fit me like hipster skinny jeans. Then on the flip-side when I find jeans that fit my thighs, they usually look like baggy dad jeans. These new BeanFlex jeans perfectly meld the qualities I look for from both of these jeans (style and fit). I am not a frequent reviewer but I had to post about these. Comfort is an understatement and I feel like the look is that of a designer jean that is double, if not triple the price! Great job Bean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent purchase I have chronic stiffness in my knees and so when L.L. Bean advertised a flexible pair of blue jeans, I decided to purchase a pair. I found my new L.L. Bean to be more flexible than the national brand that was available in my local store and they were so comfortable that I decided to buy a second pair. While I acknowledge that L.L. Bean's jeans are expensive, I expect my pairs a long time. However, I would advised purchasers to check the "fit" indicated on the inside pocket before removing any tags. Several pairs of my jeans were mismarked on the outside tag as "classic fit" when they were, in reality, "natural fit". Apparently, their warehouse is not verifying that the item that they're shipping is what was ordered and simply relying solely on the outside tag which may be inaccurate.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cost Cutting Evident I like these jeans; they're the second pair I've bought, HOWEVER, they need one more belt loop. Most pants have belt loops spaced evenly around the waist; these jeans have one at 3 oclock and 9 oclock, then nothing until 6 oclock, where they have two, as if to make up for the lack of loops where you need them. (like 4:30 and 7:30) Also the pocket tops are flimsy, and don't hold their shape after one wearing. If they'd reinforce the tops of pockets and spring for one or two more belt loops, I'd give them 5 stars, as the fabric is light and flexible as promised.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These are beyond awful. 0 stars. Got these for my husband, who's lost some weight. Measured his waist 3 times before ordering, and again today. These are a size - or two - too big. They're baggy, sloppy looking. They looked dirty, used and worn - and not in a good way. I had to look to make sure he didn't accidentally grab a pair of his old jeans to make sure he had the right ones. Did I say these are awful? LLBean, ditch the trendy markings on the jeans and provide some basic, well-fitting jeans! (You used to.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality control issue. I have two of these jeans in the standard fit that fit pretty well, even though they sit below the wait. Plenty of flex in the waist band. But wanted to try another pair with the classic fit that sits on the natural waist which is my preference. Unfortunately, there is very little flex in the waist - compared to my other two pair. Too bad. Perhaps it is a problem with quality control? Will send back - don’t know if I should try another pair in the same size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Them The only jeans I have worn in well over a decade are LL Bean jeans. I have found their jeans to be reasonably roomy (i.e., not tight). I have tried classic and natural fits and settled on the classic. I decided to try these flex jeans with some trepidation as we all know how widely fit varies even with the same brand and same item. I LOVE the flex of these jeans. They fit a little bit bigger than the non-stretch version (but not baggy!). I chose to wash them before this review. They did shrink but not a huge amount. I think the best way I can describe the fit is that I'm pretty sure I could wear lightweight long underwear under them and still be OK. The fabric is thinner and they are not as warm and wind resistant as the regular LL Bean jeans but still OK. Obviously, it's way too soon to be evaluating their durability. If they weren't mostly cotton, I would seriously consider wearing them hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Jeans Was unable to find a pair of jeans that fit in the waist without also causing the diameter of the thigh to be baggy. These were a great fit so much so that I bought a second pair. I ordered one size below what I typically wear in a jean and they fit perfectly.
