Women's Mountain Classic Insulated Jacket, Multi Color is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 71.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nope I bought this jacket in July of 2020, with the intent for it to be my new coat. Especially with layering, it seemed perfect. Right off the bat, the fit was strange. The neck on this jacket, combined with the hood, is just awkward. Not a deal breaker, though, and at this point, the jacket would have been rated a 4. Weird fit, but doable. I was wearing the jacket earlier this week and BEHOLD!! Little bits of the insulation had started to poke through. If you pull them out, guess what? More! So I just shipped this item back for a refund today. LLBean, thankfully, has amazing customer service. An exchange seems pointless, as it seems like it is a problem with certain LLBean jackets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved it! I bought this vividly colored (Gunmetal Gray/Burgundy) surprisingly warm jacket to walk my dog in the Fall. I purchased the small so I would have room for layering. I usually wear xs in Bean clothing. I took a star off because the sleeves were long ( a problem for me in many items) and the wrists had no way to fit them snuggly so air might go in. The full zipper makes it easy to unzip while heating up from the walk. The colors are outstanding and deserve more than the available 5 stars. If I could I would give this item 4.5 stars as it fits the bill for a perfect Fall jacket. I love it though time will tell how much this fall when our California weather cools down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, except for the sleeves... Overall, I am very happy with this jacket except for the sleeves. I first purchased a small, which was too big, so I returned it and got the extra small which fits well with plenty of room for a sweater underneath. It’s very lightweight and warmer than I expected given the weight. However, the sleeves are too long which is not a problem that I usually have. Also, there is no way to cinch the cuffs closed, so they are a little loose and drafty. Finally, I know this jacket is only water resistant, not waterproof, but I just got caught in a light rain and the cuffs were soaked within minutes. If not for my issues with the sleeves, I would have given this a 5 star rating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just a little "meh" I love the colors on this jacket! Super cute. With a sweater it will be perfect for the cold winter, which is totally what I had in mind. However, it is not incredibly flattering. A little frumpy maybe? At three stars, it says that makes the product average, which is totally what the jacket is. If the fit were a bit less bulky, and more shapely, it would totally go to 5 stars. You say "But Megan, bulky isn't bad if it keeps you warm!" The problem with that is that it is definitely a jacket with layering in mind, so the fact that it is bulky is just a bit off putting. Totally not returning it, the saving grace being those COLORS!! It's 90's and fantastic.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not hold up I really like the looks of this jacket. It does run a little large. I bought it in August, 2020, but did not really wear it until Spring, 2021. Within a month if wearing it every morning for about 45 minutes while walking my dog, it developed pinholes under the length of the arms and along the sides of the jacket. There are little tufts of insulation leaking out of the holes. I’m guessing it’s from my arms rubbing on the jacket when I walk. Not very attractive at all. I do not recommend this jacket based on that fact, despite it being very nice looking. I see other people are having this same problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love I love this jacket. I was drawn to it because of the colors, they make me think of 90's style outerwear. They seem to match the picture well. My waist is 29in and bust is 34in . I went with the small so I would have room to layer if I needed too. I probably could have fit in the XS if I wanted a tighter fit. I also love that l.l.bean offers petite sizes, this helps with the sleeves not being too long on me. Often women's jackets are too form fitting and then I can't zip the jacket over my hips so I like that it's a little more boxy than most outerwear jackets for women. I don't think it is too bulky at all. The added lining in the jacket makes this jacket a bit warmer without being too warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect I bought this for the "in between" weather in Western New York when my big winter warmer coat is not quite needed yet. I love this insulated jacket. I love the zippered pockets and the pouch. The hood is a bit unusual because I can't put it up when the jacket is zipped up all the way, I have to unzip first. It's perfect for 40 degree weather with a long sleeved shirt under it. It's a big loose fitting so I can wear it comfortably over a sweatshirt or sweater. I noticed the other day, after wearing it for about a month, the left sleeve is start has started pilling a bit. That is the only reason for not giving it a 5-star review. I'm not sure if this is going to wear away the fabric or not. Otherwise, this is a perfect jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I wanted a midweight (but warm) jacket, especially for biking and walking around campus- in between a winter coat and just like a fleece jacket. This jacket is LOVELY, so glad I got it. It keeps me warm, it fits well (and I can wear sweatshirts and scarves under it or not), and it keeps me nicely warm in 30-40s degree weather, even when it's dark and raining (I have other layers too of course and often am biking/walking a lot which affect warmth but generally it's versatile and good for even pretty chilly/gross weather, if I get a bit overheated I can just unzip it!) A main reason it's so good is because it's insulated and also very weather proof- I've biked through the rain in this and stayed plenty dry, and it blocks wind which would otherwise make you cold. I've had it a few months and been using it frequently, especially while biking/walking with a heavy pack. big fan :)
