Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhodyshopper from Great lightweight shorts I have been wearing them almost every day right out of the box. They fit well and they are not heavy so they are perfect. Quality construction and the pockets are just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimc58 from Comfortable and light These are best shorts I’ve ever owned. I walk my dogs daily and I love the lightness and stretchability of these shorts. They seem to be well made. I own two pair and plan on ordering two more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Poppy64 from Good update to regular Cresta shorts Compared to the regular Cresta shorts: fabric is a little crisper; fit is a little snugger; they don't have those outlines round the cargo pocket zippers; only one cargo pocket; only one of the rear pockets has a zipper. They get a passing grade for belt loops - 6. I'm disappointed that they use a high metal post for the fly closure--that can get uncomfortable. A big old button would be best, but at least make the metal post about half the height.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jack from Great light weight shorts The fabric makes this pair of shorts light weight compared to cotton shorts. The two zip pockets are useful for making sure something important isn’t lost while being active. There’s a smaller pocket in the right front slash pocket that I use for a couple of vitamin pills so they don’t get lost with everything else in the pocket. The two things I would change are: moving the back right zip pocket to the left and making it very clear either in the ad description or on a supplemental piece of paper not to iron the shorts. An iron would melt the fabric.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Daveinmass from OK but... I like these shorts - I like the fabric, the pockets are OK, and the inseam length is OK for me. However, at 6'1", I always purchase longs - in pants and suits. The rise (crotch) of these shorts is too short for me. Not horribly uncomfortable but they rub me the wrong way. I won't order another pair and would not recommend them to my tall friends.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KentuckyGuy from Problem with pockets I have both the Cresta Mountain & Cresta Hiking shorts. I love the material & comfort of both but have a problem with the Mountains shorts front pockets which are designed different than the Hiking shorts. They pucker & won't lay flat so I will probably not buy these again. I also prefer the zippered pockets on the Hiking version.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SuburbanHillBilly from nice hiking shorts My waist measures 33" and I bought the 32" size. They are a little big and there is no elastic in the waist so the shorts fall down unless I wear a belt. Fortunately I have a belt that works with the loops, so I am happy with them. I like the length of these shorts and the fabric is light and cool. They are comfortable to wear even in the rain. Pockets are amply sized for my largish cell phone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by apbtlvr from Lack of waistband These shorts lack any serious waistband. Because of that, they tend to fold over a belt when worn...especially in the rear. It really makes them go from nice to lame very quickly. Please consider fixing this issue.
