Rated 1 out of 5 by Pepperhead from Quality Issues I am hoping it is a fluke, but the sweater I received definitely does not live up to L.L. Bean's usually high quality standards. When I tried the sweater on, I noticed a couple of small snags on one sleeve. Upon closer examination, there were numerous snags throughout the non-cable knit portion of the garment. Additionally, the area where the sleeves attach to the body of the sweater has a strange, unattractive puckering that makes the knit look like moths were munching on it. Unfortunately, this item will be on its way back. I think I will try an open cardigan with a different weave to avoid these issues in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nonnie49 from GO-TO Sweater Love this sweater! I have 4 other styles of LLB Double L Cotton Sweaters in different colors that I have had for over 4 yrs and they all look brand new. I prefer to dry clean them to retain shape and brilliant colors. The colors are great and I look forward to new styles every season. I am 5' 4" so I get the Petite large and it fits very well. Sleeves are just the right length and shoulder seam lays on top of the shoulder, not below and the sweater falls at the hip, not too long. The collar lays neatly at the neck and down the front.I look forward to a new style/color every season. Complements my wardrobe and a great GRAB and GO sweater for any occasion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by WheelchairNana from Purchase Cautiously I had been really wanting this sweater and finally decided to buy when I had a sale coupon. Purchased the 2X because the 3X in LLBean sweaters always seems too big. Since it appeared to be loosely woven from the pictures, I didn't feel there would be a problem. I had purchased the same type sweater with the hood in 3X and it was huge. But in this case, I was wrong. The sleeves are too tight/short and across the shoulders is snug. It fit fine otherwise and the blue color is beautiful. Tried washing it and stretching to see if it would give a little, but no luck. I'm sure someone else will find it perfectly OK, but not me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by goodnessandmercy from Beautiful sweater This sweater is just lovely. It is long so it covers your derriere and can be worn with leggings. I love it with jeans too. Very comfortable and soft. It's so hard to find items 100% cotton (everything is polyester).Washes very well. I dried mine flat.Because it's open it's not tight fitting but it's not a tent either. The cable work is very high quality and well done. I wear these in fall and winter and cool summer nights. It can be dressed up or down, not exactly elegant but still very high class. I have 3 colors, and all are as depicted online. Definitely recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by wrightathome from Odd color I have not worn this sweater yet, but I am pleased with the weight and fit. I like the narrow sleeves and find them more slenderizing than a bulky sleeve. The length hits mid hip and I don’t feel like I’m being swallowed up by too much sweater. However, it is definitely more casual than I was expecting and the color is darker than it appears on my screen. I ordered the evening blue/grey heather marl which appeared to be a pastel shade. The blue is actually a deep turquoise blue and a very light grey. I wish I had ordered a different color. This color looks kind of cheap. I will keep it and wear it with jeans because the fit is good and the heavier weight will be nice this winter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lerina from Quality Issues I loved this sweater until I washed it, per the instructions, on delicate cycle and laid flat to dry. I didn't check to see if it shrank, because all I could notice were significant holes on the back of the sweater. Knit/crochet items usually have space between the weaves, but these holes were 1) not present before washing and 2) large enough to be a quality issue. I attached a photo so hopefully you can see what I mean. I'm hoping I just got a bad sweater, and that they're not all like this. Obviously, it went back immediately. (Other notes: I am 5'3" and 115lbs, the Misses S fit beautifully. The length fell where it should, at my hip, without hitting my thighs. The sweater itself had a nice weight to it and would be great for ~60 degree spring weather sans quality issues)

Rated 4 out of 5 by xteach77 from Great for petites! This sweater has a pretty cable pattern on the arms, the front, and the back. It is very warm and easy to put on and take off. The best thing about it for me is that I could get in a petite size. The arm-lengths and the shoulder seams are perfect. This is probably a bit heavy and bulky to use under a winter coat but it would be fine under a trench coat. In the spring I expect it to be one of my "on-th-go" sweaters, great for quick errands and grocery shopping. I got the stone color so its neutral tone will go with a lot of outfits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by summerkindofgal from QUALITY Sweater I received this as a Christmas gift, and it has already become a staple in my wardrobe. I love that it has, after several wearings, held it's shape, and the cuffs have not loosened or gotten baggy. It has not yet been washed so that will be the tell-tale test, but, so far, it's just a really well-made, comfortable sweater. The color is lovely, but I do wish LLBean would show some of their things with coordinating shirts as I had a bit of trouble determining what one would look best with this. The colors might be similar but don't have names that make it easy to figure out online what the best matches are. I lucked out with this flannel shirt; they go well together.
