This level of quality is not acceptable for the price point and greater longevity should be expected. Elbow re-inforcement should be considered on a future design of this product.

I have not washed it yet to see how it holds up shape wise so I cannot give it 5 stars but for it's general fit and look I am very pleased.

The post washer and dryer shrinkage is minimal (less than 1/2”). I wish the fabric would be tighter knit, and smoother. But still a wonderful flannel shirt. 6ft 175 lb Size M fits me like a glove.

I am female and have a women's one I've had for over maybe ten years, and it's great (and still going strong), but I also kept "borrowing" a decades-old men's one from a relative and loving the longer narrower cut. So when I saw that Beans was selling these 1933-style ones I grabbed a Men's small, and I have NOT been disappointed. I use it like a warm layer in the house, as well as for a light jacket. I think I've worn it every other day since I bought it a month ago! Soft but sturdy fabric, and such a beautiful plaid - I got the Bering Blue. For anyone who needs size tips: I'm 5' 6" and 120 lbs, 34" chest, sleeve length about 30". I usually wear a Women's small or extra small from Beans. The men's small definitely doesn't "fit" me in the traditional sense-- roomy, shoulder seams a little past the points of my shoulders, sleeves a bit too long. Love it anyway - just mentioning fit as a point of reference in case it's helpful for someone else. I can still wear a sweater or jacket over it (see pic). I'm marking the size as "a little too large," since it is with respect to my measurements, but that's not a criticism - I consciously purchased a men's size knowing it would be big on me.

Heavy weight, soft and washed well. As a mom, I loved the large buttons. Overall, expensive - but absolutely worth it!
