Product Details
This classic zip-top tote bag is made in Maine and built for the long haul. Handy outside pocket gives you quick access to smaller items.
Introduced as Bean's Ice Carrier way back in 1944, the Boat and Tote was billed as a bag made of builders' canvas for hauling ice "from car to ice chest." Today you can spot it doing heavy lifting everywhere from grocery stores to gardens, from beaches to bedroom closets. Tested to hold up to 500 pounds, it'll carry more than you can carry. We promise.
- Spot clean.
- Double-layer base.
- Overlapped seams are double-stitched with nylon so they won't rot or break.
- Handles tested to hold up to 500 pounds.
- Reinforced flat canvas bottom.
- Heavy-duty 24 oz. cotton canvas.
- Front pocket.
- Natural color, with contrast-tone handles in a versatile length.
- Order with a custom monogram for the rare gift that's both personal and practical.
- Monogramming is added to back of tote (on the side without pocket).
- Rubber L.L.Bean logo.
- Handcrafted in Maine since 1944, one tote at a time.

Well-made with speedy monogramming
Well-made and monogrammed VERY quickly, in time for a birthday present for my sister to replace the ragged boat and tote she had been dragging around for years. She loves it!

Navy tote
This is my 6th Boat and Tote and it’s my favorite! I love the all navy bag with a white monogram. Purchased the medium and it’s a great bag to carry on my frequent flights bc it fits under the seat on the plane perfectly! Love it so much that I am eagerly awaiting the large one to be made.

I have been using this as a tote bag/purse for the last 2 weeks. I like it very much but I just wish the handles were a couple of inches longer so I could easily sling it over my shoulder. I am able to do it but it is a bit snug.
