Rated 2 out of 5 by BobG1234 from Poor Immune System (Not So Wrinkle Resistant) Disappointed in the wrinkle resistance of this shirt. I've washed it only once and took it out of the dryer after it was dry but before the dryer had stopped. It didn't look good enough to wear without being touched up. What's so disappointing is that I have similar shirts from L. L. Bean purchased around 2 years ago which come out of the dryer looking perfect. Why did they mess with a good thing? Also note that there is a tag in the collar of this shirt attached on only one edge, so that the other three edges are free to irritate your neck. I point that out because the tag does not appear in the photo on the web site that I am looking at at the moment. Bob

Rated 3 out of 5 by DonWA from Details Starting to Suffer I've been buying these shirts for years, the only ones I can find in Tall that fit properly. They've been pretty consistent on quality, the three I received this week show signs of corner cutting. The pockets are not crisply pressed now so the top of the pocket just rolls over instead of a nice pressed top. (I've got 5 year old shirts of this same type that are still crisp as new, even after dozens of washings) The pattern matching on the back is a bit off, the box pleat on the old shirts are all perfect, the new ones, about 1/4 off center and not pressed into place in an even manner. Neither problem worth sending them back, but Bean, you need to get after your vendor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Very comfortable shirt I bought three of these shirts and they are so comfortable in hot, humid Alabama, I am buying two more. They are attractive, and contrary to at least one reviewer's opinion, are not of low quality appearance. Methinks that he was expecting perhaps a different product. My son is visiting from LA and intends to buy one or two when he gets home. Very satisfied. But then, I have been shopping with LLBean for almost 40 years and have never had any trouble with quality or returning items for any reason when necessary. Keep up the good work! I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. Indeed, I have already recommended the shirts to my son.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gracie2823 from Not exactly no iron Several years ago LL Bean sold these amazing twill shirts that came out of the dryer looking like it was freshly pressed. We NEVER ironed them and they wore like iron. My husband absolutely loved those shirts and wore them until the collars started to wear, but only after several years of wear. Unfortunately, Bean has stopped making that quality of these shirts. This shirt is thinner and really needs a quick press to make it look as good as the "old time" shirts. He likes the shirt, but the quality is just not the same.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kingtut from Not Really Wrinkle-Resistant While I like the fit and the look, this shirt is far from wrinkle-resistant. I also agree with another reviewer that the weight of the fabric is lacking . . . not at all the quality of the Oxford shirt TC237811 which is totally wrinkle-free. The twill sport shirt is not what I expected re: wrinkles; it definitely needs ironing. L..L.Bean needs to take the wrinkle-resistant claim off their advertising.

Rated 3 out of 5 by LindaABC from Nice Shirt, but It Wrinkles My husband has this shirt in three different colors. It's a nice shirt. Fits like it should. But, it has to be ironed to look nice enough to wear to work in a casual setting. There is another shirt on this website--something like the "Kennebunk Sport" that actually comes out of the drier looking wrinkle-free enough to wear without ironing. It's not quite as heavy as this one, but it's great under a sweater. This one is fine; it just needs to be ironed to look nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrWeather from Nice fitting shirt I find these to be nice durable shirts, and they seem to retain their color. I don't have any problems whatsoever, and the fabric is of exactly the correct weight for my satisfaction. I own several colors in the long and short sleeve variety, and for my medium to slightly heavy build, I surprisingly find the trim fit conforms to my shape better than the regular fit. I hope they get the mallard blue back in stock in the short sleeve (XL), and it would be nice to see this shirt in a brick red rather than the maroon. Else I am very happy with these purchases, and will purchase more as the colors I want become available/ back in stock in my size. I have had zero durability issues, and highly recommend this classic shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mervich from Great Shirt - Little Wrinkle Resistance I have a closet full of Bean's button front, wrinkle resistant shirts that look professionally laundered out of the dryer…not this one though. This shirt is kinda-sorta wrinkle resistant. Out of the dryer, it is less wrinkly than an untreated cotton shirt, but enough wrinkles to require an ironing. That said, this is a beautiful shirt with a traditional fit. I would not hesitate recommending this shirt to others, especially if one doesn't mind a bit of ironing.
