Rated 5 out of 5 by highdesertretired from Really wrinkle free and comfortable After years of shorts that are too tight in the leg, crotch and are not wrinkle free, the Double L Chino Shorts are the best. The fit and finish is terrific. Other brands tend to be good in the waist but too tight in the leg, they promise wrinkle free but they are not. Sit down and the shorts ride up where they shouldn't go. LL Bean shorts fit nicely in any position and seem to wear well. As for wrinkle free I am impressed. I left a pair on the floor for several days. I put them on and within a short time the wrinkles were gone. Plus out of the wash no ironing and the crease is still in the leg. Nice deep pockets and the comfort waist make these shorts a great buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by grndcvr9 from Peek-a-boo pocket lining I bought these shorts in the Marine Blue color for my husband. He says they are very comfortable, but when he sits down and the hidden comfort waist stretches, the white pocket linings pop out like little flags. I'll be exchanging the Marine Blue pair for one in light khaki, to reduce the contrast between the shorts and the linings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PapayaKing from Getting smaller and smaller! I have ordered this many times in 44. I just received them in 44 and they are much smaller than the same ones I am wearing. Ordered in 46 and they are still smaller than all my old ones. I have a couple of new unworn 44 from last year they are larger. Sent them all back. Seriously, LLBean what gives?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Schatje from Holds Up Better Than All the Others One year ago I ordered 7 different pairs of shorts from 4 different companies, and these are the only ones that still look great and show little wear. My husband wears shorts to work every day and has a physically demanding job. His weight also fluctuates by 5-10 lbs throughout the year, so the hidden "comfort waist" stays comfortable no matter where his weight is. Just ordered 6 more pairs of these and will not be ordering any other work shorts from any other companies. These are THE ones.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DaveB48 from I Can't Buy Them If They Are Out of Stock I bought four pairs of these shorts several years ago, and have gotten very good wear from them, so I wanted to buy a few more pairs. Here it is just July 1, and the dark khaki and the dusty olive are out of stock in waist size 38. For the plain front shorts, it's even worse, with most sizes out of stock for the more popular colors. Come on, LLBean, you can do better! In Maine, shorts may be a seasonal item, but in much of the country, they are worn year-round.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FredandSnow from Impractical I bought my husband these shorts because he likes short inseams and pleats in his khakis, and because they are not the style, I can't find them anywhere. I was excited to see them on LL Bean. However, the front pockets are not angled like you see in the picture. The openings are exactly vertical and flush with the side seams. My husband like to use his front pockets, but these are not user-friendly at all--they are very awkward to try to access. They should change the picture to match the product. Also, there is not enough width in the legs of the shorts, so when he walks, the top of the short catches on his quadriceps, which inhibits natural and comfortable walking. The only good thing I can say about the shorts is that they are wrinkle free and look nicer than his old crummy ones. These shorts are way too expensive for how impractical they are. Sadly, I continue my hunt for pleated short khakis. :-(

Rated 3 out of 5 by phut60 from Inconsistent sizing I have ordered these same shorts before a number of times, this time only two sets were ordered. One fits a little snug the other is quite loose. I am disappointed that the quality control seems to have dropped.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FatOne from Shorts fit great - cloth prone to ripping I've ripped the cloth - not the seams - on two different pair of these shorts. They fit great and look good - they are my favorite shorts for cut ever. But they really need an upgrade in quality of material. I'd pay $10 more for a sturdier pair of these shorts.
