Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Nice! Going by the size chart, these run large. For reference: I'm 5'6" tall, 124 pounds, my hips measure 38 inches, and my waist is 27 inches. According to the size chart, I'd wear a small, so I ordered the small. It was WAY too big! I exchanged for the extra small and they are perfect with plenty of room to move around -- not even remotely tight. The pants (in the right size) are really flattering and seem durable, despite being really lightweight and breathable. I love the drawstring cuffs and stretchy material. The grey was exactly like the image on the website. They're great -- I may buy more colors, which is not something I normally do...

Rated 4 out of 5 by AFanofSummer from Almost perfect, but.... These pants feel like jammie bottoms, but are somehow flattering. I am 5'6" tall and weigh 125. I was afraid the regulars would be too short to wear with the ankles cinched, so ordered a tall. Not necessary. The regular extra small fits perfectly. The problem is with the elastic in the cuffs. The elastic in the waist band is smooth and of high quality. The elastic in the cuffs is different - not smooth and catches EVERY TIME on the velcro closer on my sandals. I've not had the pants long and the elastic in the cuffs is already a mess. Ll Bean chose to cut corners on the cuff elastic with unhappy results for an otherwise great design.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stilzkin from Love These Pants, but... I've had these pants since last August and wear them all the time. They're perfect for lounging, walking the dog, or running errands. I love the drawstring hem and the pockets are useful (although the buttons on the cargo pockets are hard to open; I would prefer zippers). I always pack a pair of these when I travel to change into at the end of the day. They're great for sneaking down for coffee in the morning at the hotel and I've even slept in them to keep warm in the field. The only issue I have with these is that they're really starting to pill, which sacrifices their clean look. Bean, if your textile supplier can work on that, these would be perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by BJeff from Great product I got these just before a 3 day trip hiking, eagle watching and the lodge at Starved Rock Park in IL. These are now my fav travel/outdoor pants. They look great on, both on the trail, at the lodge restaurant or any other plans inside or out. I'm 5'5" 145 lbs. the medium have plenty of room, the waist is maaaaybe a bit loose, but I don't think the small would be nearly as comfy. You can move on the trail and they feel good in the car for hours. They aren't just plain, and have good style. Very slimming as well. Another thing I liked , the length worked too. I may just get another color - love these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elib from Perfect travel pants I was at the actual store and able to try these on. I never would have off the rack--they seemed non-descript, but I was looking for pants for a trip and these had good reviews. The reviews are spot-on! SO SO SO comfortable. The material is light-weight, but not cheap-feeling. The pockets in the front ZIP so that I am not worried about change or my phone falling out. The waist band stays put. The ability to cinch them at the bottom makes them look a little more on-trend. Two of my friends are now planning to order a pair after seeing mine. Super cute. Super comfortable. Super functional. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pickune from Soooooo comfortable These pants are the best. Lightweight, wash and dry and wear....fit like a dream. I have every color and if they added ten more colors I would buy them too. Some have complained of pilling but I haven't had that problem. I even wear them in the winter with tights underneath since they are lightweight. I am not a "shorts" person so I wear them all summer and it is very humid here. Still comfortable. I can be hard to fit in pants since polio has given me one side smaller than the other but with the design of these pants you don't notice. If they fit me they will fit anyone. LOL. Highly recommend them but then maybe I shouldn't since they might run out of them. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by GBTrecker from Comfortable But Have A Couple Suggestions Comfortable pants. Just a couple of suggestions...The waist drawstring is WAY too long leaving a huge tail that has to be tucked inside the waistband! And I assumed (incorrectly after reviewing the product photos on zoom) that there would be some way of securing the ankle drawstring (maybe a small toggle? or at least a divided drawstring that could be tied?) While the continuous ankle drawstring conceals nicely when the pants are worn open at the ankle, it is a bear to tie and untie every time you want to convert from gathered to open. Bought these pants for travel to the jungle where mosquitos may be a problem, so I could tightly close the ankle. But am dreading the tying and untying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by elbee9 from WHY the fabric issues???? I LOVE these pants BUT I am amazed that LL Bean has a product that really does not hold up well for more than a season. The pants themselves are super comfortable, attractive, versatile. The fabric pills after a while - not at all what I would expect from Bean! They get washed in cold water, in a front loader with clothes of similar fabric and weight. LL Bean please tell those of us who are having these problems what we are doing wrong. Maybe the people who aren't having the pilling just are not having it YET. Maybe there is a laundry magic the rest of us need to know. Why are you suddenly making a product that does not last? please tell us this is not a sign of things to come...
