Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhettshopper from PrimaLoft Jacket Good light weight jacket to wear in cooler weather. Got down to low 30's with wind blowing this morning. I intentionally wore this jacket liner over a long sleeve oxford shirt to see how effective it would handle the wind chill. I was very pleased with the outcome. I plan to wear this jacket golfing, on the boat, in the woods and pretty much every wear. Undoubtedly, this jacket will keep me warm without the weight and bulk of other jackets. Also, have the Ascent Packaway Jacket. Same type of jacket, only lighter. It stays in my golf bag. Like both very much. Would like to have had a cinch at the bottom of the jacket for added wind protection.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NOGOJACKET from POOR SIZING This is nice and light but ..Im a xl-tall and so that's what I ordered.. When it came the sleeves were more than an inch less in length than they should have been,, How do I know well I also ordered one in Xl regular . And the XL regular had sleeves 2 inches longer than the XL long. Confused yet ...also this is FITTED...Which means not enough room to move around. Why pray tell does anyone who does outdoor stuff need fitted.... I'm 6 foot 3 inches a 37 in sleeve and 180 pounds tall and lean.. So for me the sizing is way off and I returned both of these type of jackets I ordered. Also these are not jackets. They are more like a light weight sweater plenty warm .. Bean real outdoor folks do not need fitted stuff... thanks that's all

Rated 3 out of 5 by Outdoorfotog from Nice, but didn't quite meet my LLBean standards I bought this PimaLoft Jacket to fit inside their $400 outer shell, bringing the total price of this one outfit up to $500. For that amount I would expect flawless work. The inner line zips up nicely on both sides… but stops up near the top where one button holds the liner top in place. Not snug. Not complete. I rate the top as a "D" for missing the mark. Both sleves have a little button/loop to hold them in place. It barely works. Constantly rides up when I remove the jacket. A better system for keeping the slevers firmly in place was what i would have expected from an LLBean product. I guess I expect a lot out of my LLBean purchases and this simply didn't measure up for a $500 jacket. A $50 purchase would have been acceptable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MichiganFishbum from Bad Fit Great warmth, Good 2nd or 3rd layer under breathable waterproof jacket. Great to wear under waders for cold river fishing. ONE BIG PROBLEM... binds big time in arm pit area. Restricts movement of sholders. Needs to be functional cut not designer cut. I wear nothing but PrimaLoft for layering and warmth. This would be the perfect layering jacket if the arm holes at the sholder area were enlarged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mroberts8 from Fisherman's friend Bought this for fall / winter steelhead fishing around the upper Great Lakes. I wear it inside breathable waders, under a rain coat. Light, flexible, and warm. Excellent layer. Unlike others, I do not need a waist cinch or drawstring as the outer garments provide the seal. Note the body has more PrimaLoft (100 versus 60 gram weight) than Bean's similar "packaway" PrimaLoft jacket, but same amount in sleeves. An advantage for hard use in cold weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Slobutsure from Light weight warmth I ordered mine in extra large, and find it to be a very good fit (215lbs). Roomy enough to go over other garments, and slim enough for a heavy jacket on top. The sleeves have less filling than the body, and aid in stuffing the jacket into it's pocket. This is more a warm sweater than a coat, and is just right for layering. This style does not breath as well as fleece, but is otherwise very comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SilentDog from Great performer, needs to solid green color Brought this for hunting in the Adirondacks. Features I especially like: Very light weight & packable, even into a fanny pack, allowing easy donning/doffing, depending on exertion level, to control sweating. Deceptively warm, given the lack of bulk. Wearing a base layer, wool shirt & pants plus this jacket allowed me to sit comfortably for 1-2 hours minimum in 30 degree temps. Add a Goretex shell and you get close to single digits in temps. I also use this casually but I find it a little warm for a heated car on extended trips. Two needs: 1) Color should be solid green for a hunting outer garment - lose the blue fabric (OK for casual use but not in the field). 2) Prefer a double zipper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RochesterBikeRider from Ok fit...good feel I am 6 foot and 215 lbs and this jacket in XL fits okay in the shoulders and sleeves but it is a bit large in the waist and wrist bands and as others have said it really needs a heavy duty draw string around the waist. Also, this jacket is fairly light weight and does not compress as well as my other brand. I need to test it for its warmth during our Rochester winter but I am pretty sure it will be a good layer under my shell. PS. My wife wishes there were other colors, but I am good with the green/gray.
