Rated 3 out of 5 by Vaccinium from There are better fleece pullovers After 2-3 years of light use, I conclude that there are better fleece pullovers on the market. Performance has been adequate, but not exceptional. Noticeable pilling of the fabric began after only a few months and the garment now looks quite shabby. Cuffs are open (not elastic, as they were on previous versions of this product) which drives me crazy. They hang down near my fingers, get soaked with slush, brush my food, etc.. I would be happy to pay an additional $10-20 for a more durable fleece fabric and a little bit of elastic tape stitched to the cuffs. I assume these observations apply to the Trail Model Fleece Jacket as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CvilleSam from Well Made, Horrible Sizing I received the fleece today and will be sending it back tomorrow! I definitely should have listened to the other reviews. Although the quality of the fleece seems good and it is quite attractive, there is no possible way that the sizing is correct. I have quite a number of Bean jackets & shirts all all are Large and all fit very well. As some other reviews state, this one is tight in the body and very long in the sleeves. Given this sizing there is no possible way that I can order one that fits - an XL that fits in the body would be beyond my fingers in sleeve length. I am very disappointed in this product for now, but would be happy to purchase one if the old sizing returned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LuvsWinter from Nice Pullover But Too Tight I should have listened to the previous reviewers' comments about the tight fit. I've bought many of these pullovers in the past as I work outdoors. I've always been able to fit a sweater underneath and still have freedom of movement. But these new fleece pullovers seem to be designed for an extremely small body frame. Even in just a tee-shirt, the fit is snug even though I ordered XXL, just in case. I just returned the garment for a XXL Tall size and hope that will help. The Trail Model fleece pullover used to be my go-to fall, winter, and spring outerwear. Unfortunately, I think its time to investigate what other outdoor stores carry in the fleece department. Sorry, LL Bean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by billyburgbuddy from Not as good as it was These used to be much better as recently as three years ago. You removed the piping from the edge of the neck which gave it a more refined look that also kept the edges from accumulating lint. You also removed the same from the cuffs and from the bottom as well. To me, this has removed a good portion of what was better than anyone else's fleece, alas. You should ask why I have stopped buying so much from you dear Bean when not too long ago you suppled most of my clothing. I should have stockpiled these as I luckily did with many of your older, far superior quality models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Bought one, ended up buying three! I bought this Pullover Jacket in Blue for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loved it. But then our youngest son needed a warm top for a Boy Scout campout, and he borrowed it from my husband. But he loved it so much that he didn't want to give it back. Then, one day our oldest son was going through the clean wash and came across the pullover and decided to wear it. He too loved it and didn't want to give it back. Thus started a war between my husband and our two sons on who got to wear it. What is a mother to do??? Easy, I bought two more of them in the exact same size in different colors! Now everyone is happy! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by OldManAdventures from Updated Fleece Classic I have used the LLB Trail Model Pullover L Tall for decades. Great product at 6'1" and 170lb the trimer fit change fits me well. It may be a tight fit for stocker body types. I am hard on gear, outside every day in any weather. This fleece is very durable good for hundreds of washings. The 200wt fleece doesn't sweat backpacking, good ventilation, add a shell and it is comfortable in rain and wet snow. Add LLB expedition weight long underwear for a base layer takes you to zero degree snow. The fleece is required gear for my Wyoming backpacking mountain expeditions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by rjr403 from Poor product - horrible sizing I have never been this disappointed in an LL bean product. This was my third fleece pullover from LL Bean. The first one which was purchased quite a while ago was the best. The second one was very good. This one was horrible. First, the material is very coarse and I'm sure would irritate my skin. The biggest problem was the sizing. I wear an honest XL. This pullover was like pulling spandex on. Not even close to an XL. I am keeping my two old pullovers and will never order another new fleece pullover again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by HoustonCustomer from Runs small but with strangely long arms I recently ordered this for my husband who has a 38-40 chest so I figured a Medium would work fine. However, he tried it on and we found that this size was way too snug and pulled uncomfortably around his shoulders. To complicate matters, the sleeves came down to his fingers so that was out of whack with the body of the garment. As a result, I am returning this and dare not order the size Large for him. In short, this is a very strangely designed garment and really would only work for someone who is very thin with extremely long arms.
