Rated 4 out of 5 by MonicaB from Functional warm top but weird material I have used it every single day to bike to work this winter (since Dec 5th), and I love the fit, the style, the color, the thumb space on the sleeve, and the ease of washing and drying However, there are two things that are so bad and extremely annoying with the material. 1) the dry skin on my hand catches on the exterior of the fabric, which is an awful experience, and 2) the fabric has many pulls on it. I wear it as an intermediate layer, so its rarely exposed to anything except a shirt underneath and a jacket over it, yet it's all pulled and snagged. I still use it, but it looks awful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ANON18 from Great for runs! This shirt is great! I bought it to be a base layer for cold winter runs and it is just what I wanted. I wore it under a light fleece, and I was perfectly warm on my 3 mile run in 30 degrees with lots of wind ("feels like 19 degrees"). I think that I could wear it alone in warmer weather and it is great for layering in colder weather. I am 5'6'' and 135 lbs and bought a misses small. It is not as tight as I anticipated it being, but I actually like that it is looser. The fabric is soft and comfortable and all together this is a perfect midweight base layer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by sprucefrost from excellent as base and middle layer Love this top for layering and am about to buy another in a different color. Keeps you warm and wicks very well. I use it as a base layer on the coldest winter days for commuter biking in central Iowa. When it gets warmer, into the high 30s-low 50s (and for cold mornings at gym), I use it as a second layer that I can peel off when I warm up (and it takes little room in my bag). True-to-size fit, but not snug, and stretchy so can comfortably go over another thinnish top. Machine washes and dries like a dream. This is a fabulously versatile piece of clothing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tominco from Too Short if you are Tall The fabric is great. The construction is great. Both the top and the bottoms will keep you nice and warm, sort of. I am 5'9". I ordered the proper size. Everything fits just fine around but everything is too short. The waist pulls down when I bend over to lift a shovel full of snow. Unless I wear extra long socks, there is a band of exposed flesh between the tops of my socks and the bottoms of my legs. The sleeves of the top are "extra long" with a hole for your thumb. Where it not for this feature, the sleeves would be WAY too short. Because of the extra sleeve length, the sleeves are OK but I will never be able to get my thumb into that hole that sits at the middle of my wrist. If you are average or short, this base layer will be wonderful for you. If you are tall, look elsewhere. It is frustrating that the men's version of this product is available in "tall". Do women really only come in average and short heights?

Rated 5 out of 5 by alpine32 from Goofed on the sizing I'm rating the garment high because it is well made and I love the thumb holes. Wanted to give a heads-up on the sizing. Not sure now why I ordered a medium but it is too big. I'm 5'5", 125 lbs, and bust size 36. I bounce around on LLBean sizing but this one I should have ordered in a small. The arm holes are way too big and the body is too large especially when you know it will be an 'undergarment'. Guess I'll go order the small : )

Rated 5 out of 5 by PitBullMama from Best one yet First, let's clear the air. Yes, I live in AL, but people, it gets cold up here on the TN line! I get that's relative, but our windchill last night, as I was walking my dog, was 14. Our Februaries tend to be blanketed in ice and man, I hate the cold. So last year, a family member gave me a Bean Cresta wool medium layer. I love that thing. It has holes in it from overuse. This year, I bought myself this Polartec layer and it actually seems to keep me warmer. I think one of the reasons is sizing. My Cresta is a normal medium. I bought this layer in petite medium and it hugs closer to my body. (I'm 5'2" and an 8 in shirts.) On a superficial note, I love the purple color here. Not only does it match my hair, but it adds some fun into a drab, gray, winter day. I absolutely recommend this top as your first layer of defense against Old Man Winter and his minions!

Rated 5 out of 5 by blackderbydog from Better than expected The top and bottoms feel great! I ordered petite med, wear sizes 8 - 10 clothing, am 5'2, and these were perfect. The waiste band is not too tight, and the top fits my shoulders well. I sleep in them and go to them before any other night wear. Took them to Europe and could not have been more pleased. Chose the berry color...fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Southwestgal from Great midweight layering shirt... We used to call this long underwear. Now it's a layering piece. This shirt is soft, not bulky, and the fit is true to size. I got it in black and it has white stitching. I'm sure I could wear it as a shirt when camping. My plan is to wear it with a hoodie when I take my dog outside in the middle of the night when we're camping. I definitely recommend this shirt.
